Very good app.
I like the fact that you can add your own pictures which makes it even more enjoyable. Nice clean layout. Well worth the small amount to get rid of the Adverts.
My only suggestion to improve it would be this: whilst touching a piece in the side bar, it would be nice if an enlarged view of it was shown, effectively letting you preview the piece, before sliding it to the jigsaw. The zoom within the actual jigsaw is great. Would recommend this app. Well done.
Update is not an improvement
I really loved this app before it was updated. Now, sadly, I’m no longer a fan. The new look doesn’t bother me - it’s clean and modern, and I think it needed a refresh. But with the refresh are some irritations, and the loss of some functionality.
First, when you start a puzzle there are far too many options presented to you. In reality you’ll probably pick the same puzzle type every time, so you should be able to set this as default once, and then after that you’d just pick a puzzle and go.
Next, to come back to an incomplete puzzle you don’t just pick up where you left off, but instead you have to select the puzzle options again.
Pieces no longer snap into lock so easily making it much harder to place them properly. And the option to put all unplaced pieces back in the list has now gone.
Lastly, whilst there’s a wider range of background colours available, the variation between light and dark for each colour isn’t as good as it was. Why not add a colour picker with an alpha slider, which would give players unlimited choice and customisation.
Hopefully this update is just the start, and some of the above is in the works. At the moment I just don’t enjoy using the app, so if it doesn’t get fixed soon then I’ll be looking for an alternative.
Excellent
This app is brilliant. The jigsaw pieces are on the opposite side of the screen to the advert slide so there is no accidentally touching the ads if you do not want to. No stalling. Very clear pictures. Very relaxing and there are beautiful pictures, too. I recommend it to everyone.
