Description

Enjoy the classic World War 2 atmosphere in this arcade shooting game.

It is World War II, the story takes place in 1942 and you take on the role of "Super Ace", a brave fighter pilot. There are 20 levels to go through and the goal is to reach Tokyo and destroy the entire Japanese air fleet. And before you reach the main city, you will travel through Midway, Marshall, Attu, Rabaul, Leyte, Saipan, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa. At each level, you start and end on an aircraft carrier. Then on your plane, you fly to struggle against enemies over sea and land and shoot them all down. You get some different power-ups to increase your firepower and chances of survival after destroying certain plane formations. There are such power-ups as two machine guns, two side planes, extra loops and so on.

HOW TO PLAY

* Screen slide: moves the airship - combat plane.

* Choose the plane for your liking and become the flying ace!

* Touch the "lighting" button to make special lightning attacks.

* Select boosters to start easier.

* Defeat enemies and become the War Hero!

Old school is best

Use to play this 25y ago, works well on phone. Some levels are quite hard, which is good. I liked the old version but think this new version is better.

What’s with the adult advertising?

I like this game. As per the description it’s an invitation back to the golden age (if you’re my age) of simple shoot ‘em up scrolling games. Just one question. “Lay Matures - GET NEW MATURES” - what’s that all about then? I’m playing a kid’s game with a suitably low rating and THAT is the sort of advert I can expect? Maybe dial it down a little for the app store and stick with suggestions for other games instead of “getting new matures”. Unless I’m overlooking a setting for adult mode somewhere? Also, who needs “matures” in bulk and what even happened to the old ones? Isn’t “NEW MATURES” an oxymoron anyway? Apart from the troubling advertising and unwelcome window into someone’s psyche the game plays nicely, hence three stars.

Great start, then..........

Well, a great game turned to frustration and despair. It’s impossible to progress far, I guess, unless you have a lot of money to burn. you will spend forever trying to upgrade your plane. I did that, and even then, the planes were nowhere near good enough. It’s a shame the game is geared towards money making over enjoyment. Silly money at that. I earned enough gold and gems you would pay a fortune for but even then the planes were no match for the levels.
