Not good enough for a paid subscription service app

This is the latest version and it still will not install as it thinks 1Password is open when it isn’t. I’m becoming progressively jaded by the experience and I feel less secure with every passing day. There’s also a feeling that this company seems to think we’re all hi-tech coder brained and have an automatic understanding of their intentions when they bury something in the name of what they think is utility - how are we supposed to know what you did with it? Its time you guys realised you’ve gone from being a tech startup and face the fact us normals - you know, the customer, needs to be taken into consideration from a user perspective and not a coder perspective. What you think matters really doesn’t most of the time. It’s going from simple and secure to bloated and complex. Thats not a good thing. You’re drive towards profitability over individual user utility is clear and you’re loosing much of the advantage you had over the competition. Look at your star rating - it used to be 5 now its hardly 3.5. I’m going to give you 30 days to fix this install issue. After that, I’m gone.

Don't twist my arm to get your revenue

I've been using 1password since ver.3 but the latest push for membership sign-ups in ver.7 leaves me gobsmacked. Nowhere on the website can I find info about the standalone licence pricing even when I use their search engine! It ALWAYS takes me to the monthly membership prices. And although I understand that paid membership is the best way to get continuous revenue but for me as a customer it feels like the company tries to twist my arm to get what they want and that puts me off to say the least. And it happened once already when I had to pay for upgrading from Ver.4 to Ver.5 but I thought, hey, it'sa brand new product and I accepted their reasoning but in hindside, I realised I'd been duped and another 'loyalty bill to pay' another two versions later only proves it.
Don't get me wrong - 1password is a great app and I've really enjoyed using it throughout the years. Until now. The latest membership model makes me angry and makes me look elswhere as I don't like being forced to do something just for the sake of having it. Hence 2 stars less for the aggressive marketing model.

Not user-friendly enough any more

I set up my (non-techy) family on 1Password as a simple solution, but the little things are making it impossible now. Perhaps it's due to changes in Macos, but it's not good enough that an app store update requires the user to manually quit not just the app, but the menubar 1Password too, without any guidance or instructions as to what the issue is when it can't update. I can figure out the issue, my parents sure can't. Plus the Safari integration is so spotty. Sometimes the popup shows, sometimes it doesn't. On some updates a while ago, the extension turned itself off! How is a regular user supposed to know how to solve these things? Worse, all these issues have happened since it became a subscription service.
