People Are Hacking Or Glitching the Game

Really enjoy the game as it is a very original concept and is well executed. I would agree with the other reviews that it would be better if the rounds were less than six hours apart but it doesn’t bother me too much. The main issue I have with the game is that it is clear that people have learnt how to hack or glitch the game so that they win every time. It takes 14 or 15 seconds to travel a mile with full upgrades in the game meaning that the minimum possible time it could take to get to a 15 mile away island is 3.5 minutes. It takes some players (the current culprit being Plefe2) only slightly over this amount of time to find the island. This would mean that they would have to know exactly where the island is straight away. If you were to find exactly where the island is from spawn by using multiple pizza flares then it would take a few minutes and I’m guessing you could do that through screenshots of when the flare appears. Even then, that would be slower than the speed that some players are achieving, meaning that there must be some players hacking or glitching the game to win. Please may you resolve this issue by either adding a reporting system or having a way of monitoring players that are finding the island suspiciously quickly, thanks, keep up the good work.

Hey, developer here! Thank you so much for leaving your feedback, we really appreciate it! We are so happy to read you are enjoying 1sland. There are a lot of new stuff coming soon, and we are also thinking of decreasing the time between rounds to around 3-4h. 

Regarding hackers, you can rest assured, there are no hackers playing at the time; we are monitoring constantly our servers, along every movement users do, to make sure they don't do anything suspicious. What could be happening here, it's two things: First, plefe2 is a really experienced user, and they are discussing what the best strategies are on our subreddit r/1sland almost every day. Second, notifications are fired just when the round starts, which, given the number of users, and the delay sending them, it could mean receiving a notification when the round has been running for a few seconds/minutes already. We are working on improving this, even allowing users to get an early notification to be prepared on time. Furthermore, we are planing new ways of adding difficulty to the rounds, to make rounds longer. We really hope to see you around while we keep on adding new features, we just need a little bit of time :-). Thank you!

Summary

The premise and gameplay is great, it is a great game to relax and enjoy. However my only complaint is that I have several times got the notification that there is a new round and press it to play and attempt to get to the island first but literally before I have even loaded the game up, maybe 10 seconds someone has already found it and it’s always the same people every time. Not hating on them but it is currently plefe2. If there is anyway of making it more of a challenge for other people be the first to island and not give up immediately it would be great.
Also I don’t know whether you get to see other online players move around or not but it would be cool if you could.

Really Great but a few not so great things

I really like this game and I have only just got it. The music, the graphics and the idea of the game is really good. But the one problem is that I find that the same people always win the challenge every time. Something that would make the game better is different servers so that not everyone in the game is finding the same island against everyone. Also if the island moved every two hours instead of 6 that would be good as well.

Overall though I have to say I really like this game and I think you have done a really good job on it.
