3 Tiles: Tile Matching Puzzle 4+

5 Star game until this latest update.

Loved this game. I have been playing it for over 2 years now. It had loads of replayability as the tiles were never in the same place twice. So when I finished all the levels and had no events were in effect, I could simply go back and replay old levels.

However, the recent update has removed the option to replay older level. This is somewhat game breaking for me as I’m less likely to come back to the game as often as I would and I’m not one to keep checking every now and again to see if new levels have been added.

I have an idea why this choice was made and won’t bad mouth the developers for 1 wrong choice over so many right ones.

Amazing game but annoying ads

Honestly, I really like concept of the game and enjoyed myself a lot but just like what other reviewers have stated, the ads are incredibly long for something that pops up so often. I wouldn’t mind if they were just 5/10 seconds since it’s free but 30 seconds+ is too long. I accidentally went to home screen and got back in a second later, only for a ad to play right away, new level and another ad is played, even whilst I’m playing, ads are played. Some levels aren’t even passable unless I watch the 30 seconds+ long ad consistently to remove some of the tiles. There were so many moments when I watched the entire ad, only for them to say, “Oops…Sorry, you have to watch a video to the end to get the reward.” And then it plays another one? Sometimes it would keep doing that unless I refresh the app and start again.

I think I’ve spent more time watching ads than play the game. It’s gotten to that point where this just isn’t enjoyable anymore and has put me off playing.

Interesting puzzles - Too many ads

I got bored with watching overly long ads after every level and whenever you make a mistake, so didn’t get much past level 10-15 I suspect. It’s a pity as the puzzles are well designed, so it has real promise. But an ad every time I run out of tile space was ridiculous, particularly when I have clutzy fingers and frequently hit the wrong tile. Then I got hit with an ad for completing the level.

Note to developers; 30 second ads are far, far too long. I’ve lost interest by the 10-15 second mark. Any longer than 20 seconds and I start wanting to throw my phone across the room. Deleting the app seemed a less destructive way of dealing with my frustration. If you want ads that frequently in gameplay, they need to be 5-10 seconds so they aren’t a nightmarish imposition on your player.

As it stands, I probably spent more time watching ads than playing the game and that isn’t a ratio that appealed to me in the slightest.
