3D Scanner App 4+

Firstly the app uses the rear facing camera with no way to switch, so it’s really difficult to use with the rear facing camera. I also spent hours attempting to get one decent 3D image with no success. I could not find any online information and app has very limited functions.

Hi, App use TrueDepth camera for 3D scan, this camera only in front. We working on new version to add lidar camera 3D scanning, which used on new iPhones and iPad on back camera. Pls stay with us for upcoming update.

I have absolutely not idea how this got 5 stars.

First scan was a bit dodgy so I tried again only to get a preview of the first scan. Tried again and again only to keep getting the same preview of the first unwanted scan.
I had to exit the app each time to try a new scan.

Sometimes I got 3 seconds to scan. Sometimes I got 10 seconds. Sometimes just 1 second.

It is so inconsistent and never enough to do an actual scan.

The fact the true depth scanner is on the front it means to do a scan of an object you have to hole it away from you so you have no idea if and when it stops scanning due to the timing out issue.

There’s also no way to edit out the background that may have accidentally been scanned.

Certainly not worth £4.99 and should be free as it’s just a gimmick and doesn’t work properly at all.

I’ve emailed the support team about the issues and requested a refund from Apple.

There is a severe lack of information on this app, the tutorial takes you to you tube which just shows someone scanning a bear but nothing about what to do with the image. It also seems erratic as to whether it will scan after you push the record button and the phone needs powering off and on to get it to work. Also where does the image get exported to? I can’t find it on my lap top and you don’t get an option of where to export it to like you do with ScandyPro. Shame because the image is really good. Oh and no reply when you email

All scans are stored locally on your device, we don't have access to your scans. To share a file with a link, the file is sent via the cloud. To find the file locally open the Files app and find the folder 3D Scanner App.
