The National wherever you go

This app is the equivalent of rummaging through an archive stuffed full of goodies. The pleasure lies in choosing a play and delving through the photos, costume sketches or scribbles from the stage manager on a set plan. It's a revelation to see what the set looked like for a favourite play, what costume an actor was wearing, or what worries the director had on the night. And
the app makes you realise the contribution the National has made to world theatre: David Hare, Tom Stoppard, Alan Bennett - so many great plays have premiered on the National's stages. The photos of the huge sets, gorgeous costumes and famous actors this app boasts is a testament to how special the NT is. It's been one of the seven wonders of London for 50 years - who knows what we'll be marvelling at in the years to come?

Needs Updating

Since its last update the cast and creative lists have all gone blank. There is nothing to show for the last few years, which is a shame, there are several recent productions I'd have liked to research. And the pages from the side column you cant read what's written because of the pictures in the background. It just so happens there is a "contact us about the app" email address which I cant even read because it's cut off. I wouldn't have bothered puting this review in if I could read it, I'd have just sent them a message.
