787 FMC 4+

A very useful aid to help operate the FMC

The various parts that make up each page of the FMC are discussed and when used alongside the manufacturers training products for the B787 FMC I found this application helpful in the planning process to carry out tasks set. Really helpful- thank you.

Not fully functional

This is pricy and while it has some basic functions, it doesn’t really let you work through and practice actually putting inputs into it which is a big part of gaining familiarity. This lack of interactivity makes this quite basic and not worth the high price, and the same learning could really be gained from working through an actual manual with pictures. The description is misleading suggesting you can learn as you would on an iPhone by being hands on.
The cruise and other parts are extremely limited and you cannot even see certain pages at all.
It is only clear at the bottom of the description that it is not a simulator at all but the upper descriptions of being hand on, allowing you to work through actually misleads just how non interactive this is in my opinion. I did not scroll down to read the full disclaimer on it as the initial part and cost suggested to me it would be suitable.

Great introduction to the 787 FMC

A good starting point when learning about the menu structure and content of the different pages of the 787 FMC. Good explanatory notes and an intuitive interface
