Great overall game may need beat the boss before hand though
The Thinking Man's Flappy Bird
Some people hate Flappy Bird and all the carbon copy clones that followed. But without Flappy Bird there would be no 99 Problems. That would be a travesty.
99 problems is a twitch or reaction game, but it's also a puzzle game. Or at least it is the way I play it.
In my first attempts at a level I take my time planning my route, exploring a little further each time. I sacrifice many lives in the quest to discover what the level looks like. When I've seen enough I pick my route, the blocks like patterns of bullets that need to be avoided with expert timing. I then start my finger dance—trying to repeat the same pattern with each attempt. Like drumming out a rhythm on the screen, with a visual aid of course. I find it quite mesmerising.
I'm still a few levels away from the end, but it's been a great journey so far. I'm hoping for fireworks at the finish line.
(The only thing I'd like to see are a level chooser—so I can show friends how to approach a particular level; and achievements—so I can see how many people have got to the end. And maybe another 99 problems?)
