Ratings and Reviews
Amazing app, telling the story of Hackney's radical past in its own voice, in its own streets. So much archive material and great stories of how poetry led to a police lock-down in Homerton and how young and old fought to fight fascism and deportations. More relevant today than ever!
A great resource. Lots of lovely information about different areas of Hackney over the years. I never knew about the "three penny doctor" Dr Jelley, or the lost island, or the street battles between Mosley's blackshirts and the anti-fascist Jewish commandoes – all here on the streets of Hackney!
