About Thetford magazine is an independent community magazine covering the town of Thetford and its surrounding villages. The magazine is also available for viewing online, a service which is enjoyed by several hundred people every month from as far away as Australia and the United States of America.

About Thetford Ltd, was set up and the magazine first published in 2005 by Ian Hassey, Trevor Bowden and Marje Vickery with the support from the Thetford Town Manager, Susan Glossop. I Trevor and Marje took sole control of the business later in 2006. Marje wanted it to be a community magazine full of information about local groups and activities going on around the town.

In 2014 Trevor and Marje decided to sell and the business was brought by Terry Jermy family, who recognised it as a community asset. In & About Thetford Ltd was established in September 2014.

Each month the magazine covers a mix of local news including updates from community groups operating in the area such as The Thetford Society, Probus, , Inner Wheel, the BTO and much more, including details of events and activities taking place, and a what’s on feature courtesy of Leaping Hare. Breckland Council, local museums and organisations use the magazine to promote their activities.

About Thetford magazine promotes everything good about Thetford as a place to live and work. It is a well-loved publication and first stop for readers looking for trades and services in and around the town.
