Description

The OFFICIAL ABRSM Piano Practice Partner is a simple way to make practising your ABRSM Exam pieces more musical, enjoyable and rewarding.

"… immeasurably valuable for learning new repertoire … the app is brilliantly easy to navigate and inviting to use." BBC Music Magazine

Let Piano Practice Partner play one hand while you play the other as you learn.

Use the ABRSM Piano Practice Partner to:
• Practise each hand separately to improve your fluency – focus on your left hand technique while Practice Partner plays the right hand, for example.
• Make practice more musical and enjoyable by having a virtual partner to play along with.
• Improve your control and general piano technique, helping you to become a more fluent pianist.
• Slow down or speed up the music to a tempo that suits you, for slow careful practice.
• Set loops to repeat parts of your piece if you need to focus on one section.
• Learn to memorise your music for more secure performances.
• Personalise it! Choose from over 20 different hands to customise your Practice Partner.

Piano Practice Partner comes with three examples of music from Grades Initial, 5 and 7 of the NEW ABRSM Piano Exam Pieces 2023 & 2024.

In app you may purchase:
• Grade selections
- All pieces from the 2023 & 2024 ABRSM Piano Exam Pieces books for Initial Grade - Grade 8.
- All other (alternative) pieces from the ABRSM Piano Syllabus for Initial Grade - Grade 8.

• Individual pieces
- Any individual piece from the 2023 & 2024 ABRSM Piano Syllabus, Initial Grade - Grade 8.*
*Pieces A4-A10, B4-B10 & C4-C10 from each Grade can be purchased within the 2021 & 2022 syllabus.

The following pieces from earlier ABRSM syllabuses are also available to purchase in-app:

Please note that it is not possible to use standard audio files or CD recordings with Piano Practice Partner. Piano Practice Partner uses custom file formats that provide separate playback of left- and right-hand parts. This content is more feature-rich and uses very different technology to standard audio files. It is therefore only possible to buy these specialised Practice Partner pieces from within the app via in-app purchase.

Okish

The actual action of playing the piece is fine but since I have moved up to grade 4 it won't let me purchase B2. Myself and my parents have tried to purchase it but it just won't let me and when ever you try to press the cost it takes me to the info page. Apart from that though it did help me master the pieces from my grade 3 so over all not too shabby.

Rubbish

The app is a waste of space. It will not allow me to download any new music. I’ve checked everything and spent hours. All the support team can suggest (and they took 2 months to respond to me) is ‘tap the blue button with your little finger’ . And ‘check Apple Pay is authorised’. Even though I’ve explained 3 times that i am certain I know how to tap the blue button and the first thing I checked was Apple Pay. They seem to think I am a moron - I’ve used this app for 5 years with no issues previously- the problem started when I upgraded to 4.1 and started on grade 7. I haven’t been able to use since then. I’m so angry with the lack of technical help to get it to work.

Amazing

I downloaded this app after my lessons stopped during lockdown and I was going to give up but this app saved my grade 6! I find it most useful to listen to each hand separately, if you tap on the hand your ‘going to play’ you can then listen to the other hand perfectly! The most useful feature is adjusting the speed. This app has everything I could need (apart from my teachers compliment’s!), it’s genius!
