We never waited more then 10 seconds to book swimming
Same problems as 5 years ago
I had to download this app to become a member and book a swimming slot, having previously been a pay-as-you-go user of the pool. Despite having paid £40 for two months’ COVID membership, it still wanted to charge me £5.20 when I tried to book a slot yesterday. I ignored it and went to swim anyway, only for staff at the leisure centre to tell me the booking had not been confirmed. They told me this is a known problem with the swimming slots. Looking at the reviews for this app, I can see that people have had this problem as far back as five years ago, when they tried to book raquet sports slots.
If Newham Active can’t sort out a known problem that they’ve had for 5 years, they are useless. Plus they’ve had months of lockdown to sort it out.
What’s the point?
What’s the point of an app where i can’t book almost anything? I can’t book swimming or gym sessions (app tells me now o can book gym sessions using a kiosk at the gym like it’s something to celebrate?!), and the app is quite clunky.
The app should make me not need the kiosks or the website. It’s pointless if the app just points me elsewhere to book what i need.
