don’t bother after a month

this app blocks ads the majority of the time on my iphones safari (ios 16). ads are simply greyed out instead of properly removed and video ads are ruled out entirely. well, more about 95% of the time. some video ads i’ve noticed do slip through the cracks and play which can be solved by restarting/reloading the video. if your adblocker is not working, i’d make sure all the settings are correct which are set up upon first booting up the app and then restarting your safari entirely. a lot of reviews say that this adblocker doesn’t work at all - it does for the most part so please don’t be discouraged. this worked for me and hopefully this works for you.

EDIT ONE MONTH LATER: i’m not too sure what’s happened but it feels like my adblocker has been switched off (despite still being on) - it now blocks literally no video ads. none at all. it feels like the developers allow the adblock to work for an amount of time so that you leave a good review and then silently switch it off after that time period is up. this would seem true if i could see some sort of pay wall, but i can’t. summary: honestly, don’t bother with this app. look elsewhere.

Doesn’t work at all

I recently downloaded this app so I could use it on a particular website that is filled with shady adds. Even though I’m sure I’ve set it up right, I’m still bombarded with adds.
I also have had the same Adblock on my computer for quite a while and it always worked just fine. I went on the same website and there were no adds whatsoever. I disabled it and it was exactly like how it was on my phone. The Adblock on my phone is not blocking ANY adds.
Considering that I haven’t updated the Adblock on my computer since I first got it, and that all the 1 star reviews for this app have only come about recently, I think it’s pretty obvious what has happened, and that is that this company must have been payed off so they don’t actually block adds. They ruined their own service because of their greed!

If only people learnt to read.

I’ve been using Adblock across many platforms for years now, but only recently have I dipped into using it on a mobile device such as my phone. It is useful when trying to find information on ‘less reliable’ websites. People who say it dose not work have simply failed to follow the simple instructions on how to set it up and those who claim you have to pay are once again mistaken. It is simply requesting a small donation to help support its website hosting and development time. Once again Adblock has come to my aid and I will continue to preach about said application across all of is platforms.
