Adeeb Online is an online Web Portal and a Mobile Application offers variety of Urdu books to the Urdu readers worldwide. With the decline of publishing industry and increase in electronic books, we aim to provide the largest Urdu Literature platform in the world that will promote Urdu as a language and also provide a boost to the associated economy, thus creating value for the content owners through unique partnership features.
FEATURES
Adeeb Online provides access to a large variety of Urdu content for all registered users, including copyright contents authorized by respective owners as well as copyright free material.
Own Library: Maintain your own library by adding your favorite books
Download Books: Premium users may download books for offline reading (no. of maximum allowed books that can be downloaded varies based on membership duration)
Bookmarks: Add as many bookmarks as you want for easy navigation and tracking. See all your bookmarks together (under My Bookmarks) and navigate directly from there
Synchronization: Bookmarks are synchronized across platforms that means bookmarks that are set at Android app will be synchronized to iOS and Web accounts
Socialize: Establish you own social circle by sending friend requests to other within Adeeb Online, recommend your favorite books to other as well as get recommendations from others
Feedback: Provide feedback and rating to a particular book during or after you finish reading
Request Books: You may send us particular books that you would like to have in Adeeb Online digital library. Once we receive a book request, we will coordinate respective writers/poets to get digital rights and will make every effort to include it in out library
Order Books: Ordering hard copy of a book is currently disabled but will be enabled in upcoming updates of Adeeb Online application.

Adeeb Online v1.5-Build 10 is a recommended update for all the customers. It includes stability and OS compatibility improvements, as well as fixes for reported issues.

£9.99 Per Month Subscription of Frozen App
Frozen app with the monthly subscription of £9.99. You guys have ruined it by extremely unrealistic price tag. Get real and make it free for first few chapters of every book and than change maximum £0.99 per book download. You don’t have even more than 100 books in stock and expecting the readers to pay £9.99/Month Subscription. Oh come on. Which world you guys are living in?
Just short of being an excellent effort!
I would have rated it as a five star effort but there are a couple of things that need addressing, mainly:
* I agree with the other reviewer regarding price. I can understand that royalty, typesetting and infrastructure provision costs money and there must be a subscription fee. However, considering that most of the users/ readers are likely to be from Urdu speaking world, fee needs to be more realistic. The annual option is better but a similarish monthly fee should be introduced. Per download fee is not a bad idea. Maybe both options can be made available.
* As an e-reader it is a bit rough around the edges. The beige/ yellowish background with watermark is not to everyone's taste. I reckon a few choices like black text on white and a high contrast white on black would be good. Also the options to adjust font size and brightness would be good features.
* More books should be added at a realistic pace to make it more attractive to the subscribers. I understand it won’t be easy to obtain the rights for the more popular novels, travelogues and non-fiction books but if Ibn e Safi’s all books, A Hameed’s Amber Naag Maria series and other classic books can be made available, that would make this application worth subscribing to. I hope the developers are working on this already. It would be good if they could add a section to announce new books coming soon.
* Navigation in some areas does not work as expected. One has to go back to the homepage and navigate again. But that is not a huge problem.
Overall it is a very good ebook collection with a lot of potential. I sincerely hope that it will be a success. I’ll be subscribing this, at least for one year. If it continues to add good books regularly, I’d remain a loyal subscriber.
