Lay out an idea with real assets like photos, text, shapes and fonts. Send the wireframe to Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign or Muse to refine and finish.
Graphic designers and artists can explore a concept using:
• Gestures that drop in placeholder text, basic shapes and editable text boxes.
• Guides and grids to align and work with spacing controls.
• Free fonts and from Typekit or third-party fonts installed on their device.
• Edit or rewind and export the idea from any point in its timeline.
• Send the idea to the desktop where it will automatically open in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop or Muse.

BUZZ FROM USERS AND PRESS
“This is one of the best apps on my phone.” – George Butler
“Overall I love the progress this app has made. I’ve used it for professional layouts for web design ideas and it’s a great mobile design tool to get things going in a project for rapid iterations in the starting stages.” – Ben MacKay
“Firstly, I think Comp is a great application, so many times those sketches on paper are so much easier for expressing ideas and pop! This app turns that into a reality. I love having the app in my pocket so I can trial something if I have an idea while walking or commuting.” – Andrew Paul Hayward

Mastering some design software can take longer than creating the design itself, which is why Adobe Comp CC is such a breath of fresh air. Building layouts with intuitive touch gestures is an absolute snap, whether you’re working on an iOS app, a printed document or a website. It’s a fluid, robust way to whip off quick designs on the go and share them with other Creative Cloud apps, including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
Handy for the basics
I normally use my iMac but it died right before a design deadline so I gave this little app a go and was pleased. I managed to comp a quick, basic design to show the clients and then import it, fully editable, into Indesign to work on later. Since then I've also used it to produce a very quick design which needed to be emailed within the hour as a print-ready PDF when I wasn't at my desk, as well as to comp ideas during meetings to help those who couldn't visualise it.
Easy and intuitive to use, works great with my iPencil, too.
Another handicapped app
It’s such a shame that Adobe have not made that killer design app for the iPad Pro. This is so handicapped it’s almost laughable, you cant even draw a triangle to a specific size and bring an image into it. You can’t draw your own shapes and bring an image into it - all fundamentals of design. I’m actually shocked this is getting good reviews and can only conclude that these have not come from, you know, actual professional designers. Sure you can make square looking layouts that you then have to take into InDesign on your proper computer to actually produce artwork from. Hey, you can’t even have multiple pages so bang goes any brochure design. Come on Adobe, give us something better or maybe an InDesign Lite for Creative Cloud subscribers like myself who pay £50 a month! InDesign used to run on machines much less powerful that the iPad Pro. Affinity Photo has made you look silly already on the iPad as your photoshop branded apps are pretty lacking - I’m hoping they will do the same with Affinity Designer in the near future and then perhaps I can dump the laptop and my £50 a month creative cloud membership. I would rather use Adobe to be honest but feeling more like a cash cow to you these days.
