Adobe Draw

Adobe Draw can easily be overlooked, probably because the documentation is a bit sketchy even on the Adobe website , but don’t let that put you off.
Adobe Draw is a mobile app for the iPad which allows the user to transfer artwork with layers to Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.
The paired down tools means that the user can concentrate on idea and art creation without worrying about learns lots of tools and menus , which is ideal for those wanting to get their feet wet with digital illustration.
I have taught myself how to use this app from online tutorials and just messing around with it and now that understand its idiosyncrasies and found techniques to get around them, it’s truly amazing and stress free to use in comparison to other apps which require a steep learning curve.

Deleted Folders?!?!

Been an avid user of this app since the first iPad Pro launched. Love the simplicity and how intuitively it operates. Definitely my favourite and most frequently used art app.

Unfortunately and inexplicably, two folders with what would amount to hundreds of pieces of my work have vanished?! I tried factory resetting my iPad and restoring from an earlier backup, but, no joy.

Now I feel deflated at the thought of starting over.

No help from troubleshooting, in fact, no response at all?

Such a shame. Maybe it’s because I’m not a paying customer and am not deemed valuable to Adobe?

I would recommend this app over anything similar but would also recommend you use cautiously if you value your work.

Poor show, Adobe.

If you want to get anything done don’t bother

If you are a serious user this app will not meet your needs in it’s current state. The draw and brush interface initially seems promising and works brilliantly with Apple Pencil. This is where it stops. Once you’ve spent hours making some great vector art and you want to transfer it to Illustrator CC you’re promised with seamless integration however what you’re met with is a very hit and miss procedure with the send wheel spinning endlessly and nothing happening. The odd transfer works but this is very poor for a premium developers app which your £20 a month subscription to the latest version of Illustrator CC. It appears many on various forums are suffering with the same issue, all say use the latest versions, sign in and then out but alas nothing seems to work. Hours are wasted with a pencil making something you can’t use. Very disappointing and frustrating.
