Each little update gets us closer to full fat photoshop

So we have to be realistic this still isn’t the photoshop experience a seasoned desktop user is used to. But don’t write it off straight away. If you are willing to try out some workaround workflows I think you will be surprised at what is possible now on the iPad. I think the update that everyone is waiting for is the ability to have more adjustment layer options. Which thankfully Adobe have said, isn’t too far off. But in the meantime, you can always work around these options by using the light room for your colour edits. And Photoshop, for your detailed retouches of selections. Although to be honest give it another year, I think we might be on the verge of a more fully featured photoshop app. Fingers crossed and shout out to the Adobe app developers, for always listening and prioritising new features, creatives crave. While ensuring they are fine tuned for an iPad experience.
Real Photoshop on iPad at last! Wait what?

Following on from my brief trial of Adobe Fresco, where I panic deleted as fast as I could when I saw that Adobe wanted £9.99 a month for it...lol. Here I find myself downloading the much anticipated full Photoshop onto my 1tb iPad Pro. Just for completeness I decided to try this App which has been hyped beyond belief, over a long period of time; yep, the first thing the App prompted me to do was renew my Adobe subscription; this is another ‘£9.99-a-Monther’ and once I got around that and into the App, no matter how tightly I squinted my eyes, the full desktop Photoshop was frankly nowhere to be seen here, this is a poor ‘mini-me’ version of Full Desktop with very limited functionality! I’m frankly astounded that this was released at what can only be described as an early Beta version, at best! It’s strange to think that quite some time ago I used to see the Photoshop and Adobe Logos and they immediately gave me a warm glow and a feeling of superior quality. As time has passed, my Adobe recurring subscription payments are just a distant memory and I have gleefully purchased both iPad and iMac versions of the Serif Affinity suite of Apps. Now when I see the Adobe logo I immediately think back to those greedy locked-in monthly payments; there you go Adobe, just an honest bit of personal user-experience feedback for you! Now in my eyes, it’s the Affinity logo that’s synonymous with superior quality! £9.99 to be a beta-tester for this mess, Oh Pulease!!!
It’s awesome why all the hate?

I know some folks may feel a little deflated about the lack of features in this release but honestly let’s look at the positives, first the layout , Adobe have made the transition from the desktop to the iPad Pro very intuitive it just works and is a great experience to use, you are able to forget about the program and just concentrate your project and being able to pick up on your desktop where you left off on your iPad is just awesome, you can work on projects on the move and jump straight on the desktop when back at the studio. Sure there are features missing which will com in time but none has touched on a big positive in my opinion, for those folks who are not fluent in photoshop this a great way to learn it really from the ground up, using the basic tools on the iPad which are powerful by the way and understand the way it works is huge and can only help them get to grips with it all and as and when new features are added they will grow as it grows, I am super excited about the future of this app now Apple has finally made the iPad Pro worth using with there latest updated OS.
We’ve fine-tuned Photoshop (iPhone) to keep up with your creativity – smoother, faster and more intuitive.
Performance and stability improvements keep things running smoothly, so you can focus on creating.
Bug fixes and enhancements ensure a frustration-free experience with every update.
Whether you’re fine-tuning details or creating something bold from scratch, this update is designed to keep your creative workflow effortless.
