Great company for ferry booking, iPhone app not so good!

I’ve been using AFerry for years. Generally it’s a great company for ferry bookings but the app is not so good. The app keeps logging me out during searches and booking process so I have to constantly log in. For example, last time I was making a booking, right at the last stage of booking I had to leave the app to verify my payment with my credit card issuer. When I returned to the AFerry app my booking disappeared and I had to start all over again! At the end I had to use a different payment method from credit card to get past this issue and finish my booking. Great company for ferry booking but constant automatic logging out issue in the app makes it a frustrating app to use!

After attempting several times to book a ferry and receiving an unhelpful error message, my partner was able to successfully make the booking on the website. However, the wrong day was selected and we caught it immediately upon receiving the email confirmation. We attempted to Change the Return Date several times and received Failures with unhelpful error messages each time. There is no phone number available to speak with customer support. We attempted to use the ChatBubble but feedback and resolution is time consuming. The app needs significant improvement to resolve the Errors, modify the Error messages so they better describe the error, and offer an acceptable response time for customer support.

Have used for years and in combination with P&O and Seafrance, have always had good service - including flexible boarding at Dover, even when I don’t buy a flexible ticket!Even when the sea went mental last year and stopped ferries sailing for a while, they got us home. App works fine. Loyalty bonus a nice surprise if you login to your account before you search for crossings. Just managed to amend my booking for £0 as well - nice not to be ripped off, this is a good company.

Trying to contact them to explain a problem is impossible if your question isn’t in their frequently asked questions section.You cannot actually phone them, and to find their email address, good luck!All I can say is make sure when you book via their site, make sure you get it right first time, because any errors ! Its very hard to rectify.To simply log in to amend or check anything is fine, providing you can actually` log in’. Because if you cannot log into your booking, you are stuck.It took an outside company to actually sort my problem out with my booking.
