Great Product

I am a busy professional in my 40s who was diagnosed with high blood pressure this year. I’m not great at taking manual readings each day and didn’t notice that my blood pressure had shot up again until a visit to my Dr. This product allows me to keep an eye on my blood pressure without the effort of taking multiple manual readings twice a day.
Whilst it might not be as accurate as a normal cuff (it is still 95%+ accurate), it is good enough to show approximately where my readings sit, which helps avoid any nasty surprises. Wearing the product also makes me more compliant with taking my medication twice daily, as I now inevitably check my blood pressure a couple of times a day in the app and I want to avoid it going out of range. I couldn’t recommend this enough for people like me who are a little slap dash and just want some wearable tech to do automatic monitoring without the effort.

App needs development

The device itself works generally works well. I would prefer more strap options - although soft enough to be comfortable the rubber tends to cause sweat.
The app itself is very simple (given the price I’d want to see more insights) and while it works 90% of the time it is quite frustrating. If you close the app, the device disconnects and won’t reconnect unless you attach it to the charger. Super annoying.
I also had quite a lot of issues getting it to stay connected to Bluetooth initially. If you have to switch off Bluetooth for whatever reason, it won’t to reconnect again without attaching it to the charger.
I am currently using this in conjunction with Whoop, would be good if the data could be integrated with Whoop, likewise with Apple health to integrate with frankly the much wider sweep of insights both Apple health and Whoop provide (I had an Apple Watch before Whoop and happily most of the same data points can be tracked in Apple health on Whoop band just as they are on Apple Watch).
Overall I think a good start, but more reliability, functionality and integrations would be good especially given the price. Without this I am not sure why I would wear this in the long run…

Pretty good early version

Overall I’m happy. I was put off by the handbooks as they were huge and in such tiny print. You can get PDFs via the App. Quick Start sheet!! That’s all you need. I didn’t need the manuals I have never seen a reading over 150 systolic and I certainly had these frequently with my previous meter. I’m not 100% convinced with the measurements. However I am delighted to know the variation overnight. I think as an indicator of 24 hour cycles of blood pressure, this is fantastic. Also I think if you get high readings on a normal meter because of anxiety, having the measurement taken when you don’t know is also brilliant Minor improvements to the app would be to add a single day average measurement to Apple health. I think all the data would just be too much. Apple health doesn’t have good display software for blood pressure I think you ought to be able to export the data as a CSV file Conceivably, the weekly and monthly graph could have variations shown on the ends of the lines OhI would like a nice light brown strap please in leather. Not Apple price. But something for 20 or £30 would be lovely

FANTASTIC!!

Finally peace of mind as I can see my blood pressure is not high except some evenings or when not sleeping enough etc so I can use the feedback to keep it in the normal range. Very difficult to measure pressure doing the day for me a busy professional and sport man using a traditional device.

Suggestions:

1. When I tap “Note” I should be able to add a note for the time that I selected in the diagram, otherwise it’s time consuming and error prone having to set the time for every note as I’m keeping track of my activity during the day.

2. Sleep schedule should be more flexible, I don’t have a fixed sleep schedule and not going to stick to it, it should be easier to tap a button to say “Now I’m going to sleep”.

3. In the reports it should be possible to see the notes alongside the measurement so it would be very easy to put the values in context, i.e. cause of emergency situation lack of sleep caused higher pressure for three days.

Also the company should put on their roadmap a waterproof wrist device, I guess it’s too expensive to get it certified so it’s fine as first iteration but it doesn’t make sense that such a small enclosure should be removed when showering. My Apple Watch and my headset can be used in shower and swimming pool so it’s very easy to forget to take the measuring device off.

Fundamentally it’s great product and app I strongly suggest to buy it even if you haven’t diagnosed with high blood pressure as prevention is cheaper than treatement!

Good but no native health app integration.

The device is good. App is basic but works. What stops me from recommending this product is 2 things

1) no health app integration. Anyone who would pay a premium to wear this device on a daily basis is someone who cares about knowing information about their health and likely tracks more than their blood pressure. The value of this product isn’t in the data is generates but in insights and trends I can spot by combining my BP data with everything else about my life. It’s my data, so allow me to store it where I want to - and it’s where all other apps store my data, in apple health. With all that YOU want access to my other data. Not fair. And just tells me you don’t fully understand your customer. Please do better

2) micro USB? Now I have to remember to carry this cable when the rest of the world has switched to USBC. This results in my bracelet not being charged when I travel. Please update.

App is great

This device is amazing. I hope it’s accurate because if it is which it’s medically validated so should be as accurate as a doctors note monitor. My bp is spot on and I was never really sure if my bp if results were accurate as I would self sabotage in my head and get anxious every time I took it. Even if I was calm the thought would come in my head. So there was always some kind of anxiety around taking my bp at home or especially in the doctors surgery. I was put on medication and they didn’t agree with me. I’m nearly 2 weeks off medication and using this device and my blood pressure is perfect. Even slightly lower so no wonder I felt ill on meds and anxious my bp must’ve been low. So I’m going to continue with a healthy lifestyle and monitor it closely with this bracelet and app and hopefully it doesn’t creep up.

Accurate & convenient; no quarterly/annual reports nor Apple health connectivity

Works pretty well and shows good data. The PDF reports are useful to share with my doctor too.

Two big enhancements I’d like to see:
* Integration with Apple health - getting to see my blood pressure in the health app would be awesome and keep everything together. (I’d want to be able to choose if I shared blood pressure only or blood pressure and heart rate)
* access to a quarterly & annual view in both the app ui and pdf reports. (Custom dates would also be a bonus)

I originally got this app for consultations after starting a new medication. Being able to see overall blood pressure changes since I started it earlier in the year would on one screen & one report would be truly meaningful. And even without that, having to generate 3 reports every time I head to a report and send as 3 seperate attachments isn’t the best.

The PDFs likely don’t need to include every single reading, daily/weekly averages, and/ or a chart showing day-to-day or week-to-week would be easier to see.

However.. would 100% recommend for anybody who wants to review their blood pressure over time. I’ve found it super helpful. It also seems pretty accurate and matches readings that I’ve had done professionally. Surprised Apple Watch hasn’t followed suit!

Good but room for improvement

The equipment itself is simple to use though would prefer more wristband options. The one provided only just fits my wrist! The app itself is good but has its limits. Only three medications can be tracked. Which means half of my medications can’t be tracked. CSV download of the data would be more useful than including the data in the generated report, but echoing the point raised by others, the lack of Apple Health integration makes it difficult to take the app seriously. I love the trends in this app, and would definitely use it, but the Apple Health integration would give a clearer indication of overall health - I currently track respiratory rate, spo2, ecg and more. Don’t like the idea of having to use my regular bp cuff just to get the data into apple health, that defeats the purpose of a £200 purchase - when that cuff only cost £50. Aktiia is great but this lack of integration makes an expensive purchase difficult to swallow.

Great product overalll but needs a cpl of tweaks

Have been using this for well over a year now and love it on the whole. I have massive case of white coat -itis so this is perfect. My other half is a surgeon and he also has one on my recommendation and he has regularly checked the readings against a traditional one and it matches up (tends to be slightly higher than traditional cuff but I’d rather it was this way)

My main things I would love to have are ability to look at your trend over 6 months and a year. Month is helpful but longer periods would be really good so you can see trends re exercise/ meds/ other additions which often take longer than a month to really show up

Properly waterproof would be amazing please. When you do that I’ll upgrade

Thoughts after one week

Like others I had a bit of trouble getting the first calibration, but after persisting it worked. I can see why some people are a bit disappointed, as it doesn’t provide a continuous pressure reading - but I wasn’t expecting that, so overall it’s met my expectations. I’m a very active amateur athlete in my 50s, so it’s been great to see the effect of exercise in my BP during the day, and how long it takes to recover. There are certainly improvements to be made: 1) ability to record notes, or tag a reading (eg, alcohol, exercise, stress, etc, 2) integration with apple health, 3) integration with other tracking services such as Garmin. 4) the band is a bit fiddly and could be improved. But in general I’m happy with the product and the insight it gives me.
