Better than expected

Been playing since November I even have my sons play it with me. Having been an original RuneScape fan I thought it was highly doubtful there would be another game like it, however this game caught me by surprise and I have to admit I’m slightly addicted. I play every single day, for beginners it’s easy to start off, you have the general quests and tasks to give you an idea of how to play and I think the most important part is to bare in mind that this is a fantasy online game, you have to have your wits and logical brain in order to play when you complete all quests and tasks, this is after all a virtual world, the gameplay is amazing the best thing about this game is the fact that there are no limits. Your world is your oyster, so to speak. I love that it’s all about progression and learning as you go… 5 out of 5 for outstanding deliverance! 😊👌

Poorly thought through.

It looks great, and it is. For a very short time. You have some tutorial quests where you gain your first mount and learn how things are supposed to work. After that, you are just left on your own without having any objectives or an idea of what to do. I thought: “why not try the thing they mentioned on their AppStore page where you have a house and things?” It seems that everything involving progression involves an island that you need to buy. In order to buy this, it costs a lot and you have to have at least a week of VIP. You can do it with in game currency, but it would take a lot of saving up. At first I was thinking that I could just be patient. It quickly hit me that I can’t save up if I can’t progress, which I need the island to do. This all means that you effectively have to pay to start. Not just to win, but start.

So, I was left with no objectives and no means to complete the objectives I don’t have that doesn’t involve me paying for it. I recon it would all be good, but only AFTER, buying the island. “Hmm? What to do now? Oh, I know! Why not clear storage space by deleting this app I have given up on? I think I’ll do that.”

Terrible iOS port

This game is great on pc and has wonderful potential. But it is at times impossible to play on a mobile device. You wont be able to participate in much of the content due to continuing crashes and lags that are experienced only by the mobile gaming community. Do not ever play in full loot pvp zones or content when using the app as the crashes will cost you all your inventory. The app is good if you’re a pc player wanting to do the mundane tasks like your gathering (safe zones) or any crafting or farming duties but do not rely on the app version with anything you’re willing to lose. Most recent update has caused more crashes and issues, I feel but can’t quantify, and the standard response to any issues (if you get a response) is to say it might be the device or operating system first. But when I know many suffering the issues and openly discussed maybe it’s the bad scripting or port from over to mobile that’s not been optimised but pushed and released anyway. I would recommend this to any pc players though as it can be a great and rewarding game for both solo and group players. But just not in this current mobile gaming version.
