Was just a black screen

I played this game before in 2018 and wanted to download it again but as i presses start nothing came up just a black screen.i was really disappointed as I love this game.I gave it a 4 from the previous time I played it

Review update

Hi I had the same problems as other with the blank screen and the app engine with no theme tune - causing ones to close the app or delete then restart. I think it may be a speed issue with your ISP. I’ve upgraded my WIFI router with Virgin from the superhub 3 to the new Gig1 broadband service with the new superhub 4 router. It offers the Gig1 speed for multiple tasking including gaming of consoles like the new Xbox series x and PS5. Because this is new the rollout may take a while to reach the exact speeds because I can’t currently request a speed test from my ISP as yet. What I have discovered is since replacing my old router to the new one I tried to see if I could launch the Alcatraz app and this time it worked and I’m now able to play the full game at a slower rate than expected but I can now play the game with no worries at all. It might be that your speed for data and game play may not be enough to cater for the Alcatraz app. I’m happy now the problem is resolved by an ISP upgrade. It’s worth checking around to see the best deals for up/download speeds from your ISP.

Steps: Download game, open game. Splash screen with lighthouse appears. Advert appears. Close ad. Second ad appears. Wait 30 seconds ti lad stops. Close ad. Black screen. Close app. Check update status. All updated? Reopen app. Ad appears. Wait for it to finish, 30 seconds. Black screen. Close app. Clear all data. Reopen. Turnoff wifi. Black screen. Turn on wifi. Black screen. Close app. Reopen app. Ad appears. Wait, close ad, second ad appears. Wait, close ad. Rate this app appears! WHAT THE EFFY-F-F IS THIS??

And devs, before you blame my hardware or OS, it IS all up to date and is perfectly capable of running your dam ads, so the game itself is clearly an absolute pile.
