Awful app. The only way to use the “directions” part of the app is to keep reloading the app to see where you are. It should automatically update in 2019! JCDecaux must be so lazy!
Frustating
I have downloaded numerous versions of this app. When I first moved to Paris, I used the original version, as it was one of the only Velib apps available (I am connected to the UK app store). It worked fantastically.
Then suddenly after an update it only showed bikes in Lyon(!??). I wrote to the developers in French and English, twice. No response. For a few months I was stuck without any Velib finding app, as there were no other apps in the store. This made my morning commute incredibly frustrating.
Eventually help arrived in the form of a different app from another developer. It works a treat.
Yesterday I thought I'd give it another try. It just crashes at the loading screen on my iphone 4.
Waste of time.
Great application! Now for speed and robustness
The application is clearly designed with the user in mind. The geolocalisation and colour-coding are a great success, and it's greatly useful to find available bikes or parking spaces. Future versions need to address issues of speed (booting up, finding stations, search), as well as robustness (the application tends to crash once out of every 5 or so uses, requiring a reboot of the app).
