Cannot pay to win!!

You sure as hell cannot pay to win unless you pour 1000s of £s in here. The hero drops are so random it makes me tear my hair apart. Having said that I got some good heroes without paying a penny which has helped me enjoy it. You can get 100s of gems everyday if you play the periodic quests properly.

PS: Do not trust the hero ratings for devourer in the game. They are gold. Keep them if you get them.

Good Game - But PAY TO WIN

You will not get any competitive edge with this game as developers priorities are to get you paying not playing. The content is extremely difficult to master as F2P( like 30 years long). Pay thousands and you can still be disappointed as drop rates are poor. I have played 3 years and payed good money over the years and never once got an Order/Chaos hero from the core. There is no content in game that keeps you wanting to play. War is poorly designed, arena duels are soo crap( you will loose to P2P players) the match making is crap. There is a huge power difference. Am at a point in the game where it’s Pay or wait 4 years to get your heroes to the point where you can compete in the game. All that been said I would like to see some improvements that balance the game for both sides. Else don’t bother downloading this guys! Unless you ready to wait 5 years to have decent teams of have thousands of €$¥£ to spend.

Many players enjoy Alliance: Heroes of the Spire without spending any money, including playing in high end content such as Dungeons and Arenas. The option to pay for boosts and cores in game allows some players to enhance their play experience and save time in some areas, but does not provide any definite way to win the game via purchasing.

Every aspect of this game has a cash bypass. Yes the heroes you summon are RNG but all forms of energy and currency can be purchased with cash. Alliance wars are not about skill or tactics any more. Whom ever buys the most energy wins. The prices are not cheap either. After the initial deals every thing gets very expensive very fast. This is a BETTER game than Summoners War BUT have no illusion that you will ever take part in a fair fight. Any thing that has a leaderboards is basically just a list of who has spent the most money. That is not an exaggeration.

I enjoy the concept of this game. Building teams for skill synergy and levelling them up. Every now and then you get a decent summon. But mostly the game is about making the most of the hand you get delt. I run a full and very active alliance and we enjoy chatting in game and on discord.

There is no getting past one simple truth though. The developers are greedy as hell and are always trying to find new ways to monetise every facet of the game at the expense of player happiness. Last week they absolutely destroyed alliance wars with a totally unwarranted rework to try squeeze more money out of it. Rumble are shameless and are quickly destroying this game.
