Description
Use your Mac for any audio-related task, such as live audio recording, creating iPhone ringtones, digitizing tapes and records, converting between a variety of sound formats (including Mp3, MPEG-4 AAC, AIFF, WAVE, WMA, CAF, FLAC, Ogg Vorbis), remastering your iTunes music library, record internet streams, etc.
Thanks to its outstanding direct-to-disk abilities and waveform caching, edits on arbitrarily large sounds are performed at lightning speed with this fully featured multi-track editor. The handling of large sounds is furthermore facilitated by the extensive support of markers.
While Amadeus Pro features a number of built-in audio effects (equalizer, speed and pitch change, echo, etc), its abilities can be extended arbitrarily through the support of Audio Units.
Besides all the functions you would expect from a professional quality waveform editor, Amadeus Pro also features:

Top class product. Should be part of anyone's audio toolkit
As a blind musician, this really is a swiss army knife for audio editing and processing, especially when using field recorders and cleaning up audio for particular import projects. I just love this software.
Delightful and well thought out audio file editor.
If I were to try to find a phrase to describe this application I would probably choose that once coined by the Atari Corporation for their ST range of computers - "Power Without The Price".
This is an excellent audio editing application which gives much more expensive programs a really good run for the money. I have used many audio applications over the years and they can be described as either being low priced and underpowered or overly expensive and complicated to the point of being downright confusing. Amadeus Pro has found that delightful median of being powerful enought to be extremely useful, with an interesting selection of tools and a well designed and intuitive interface, at a price which does not break the bank. It certainly achieves what it claims on the box (see above features listing). It also appears to be quite happy running under "Mountain Lion 10.8".
I think I would be safe in saying that Amadeus Pro is destined to become THE main tool for audio editing in my software toolbox. Highly recommended.
The finest audio editor on OS X by a country mile
I have been using this app for a number of years and was very happy to hear about version 2 and its move to the MAS. Whilst there are are many competitors this is app is, in my opinion, by far the lightest, tightest, most stable audio editor available for OS X - and at a very reasonable price, too! I have been unhesitatingly recommending it to friends for years and hope that the developer can continue maintaining this app to such a high standard for years to come. The batch processing alone is worth the asking price. I have no idea how I would've ripped my entire vinyl collection a few years ago without it
Feature suggestion; non-destructive plugin insert "rack", saved into the native file format. With this feature I could finally dump Sountrack Pro altogether.
