This is especially apparent in the 'free trial' aspect of this app- none of the self-care elements are behind a paywall, and they have an entire system for people to donate full copies of the game to those in financial need. The game is reassuring and never unhealthily pressures. also the animation is so good. I'd say more but I have no more space.”

Amazing only one thing
I got this app when it first came out and ended up deleting it because there wasn’t many free options available. I have recently downloaded it again due to the changes made and I’d definitely say it’s better and more enjoyable. The only thing I would say is that it would be really nice if you could make travelling to more than one other location free, I would love to unlock other parts of the journal.
Otherwise amazing app.
Helpful & Adorable
I’ve had this app before and it’s really helped me a lot to be mentally happy with myself and earn the abilities to either coax my mind or hone in and focus on it.
Every point of this is amazing and creative: from how you can earn rewards from putting your device away, or the careful ambience in the background, even to the cute little face of Amaru themself.
This is good for all ages as it is a lovely balance between game and an app that is helpful for your mental health.
I love the new feature of donation keys (to be fair, I don’t know when they were added, but I don’t think they were added the first time I had the app) and though there are lots of people waiting in line for one, I know that the creators spent a lot of time and money on this app - So, to the creators out there who made Amaru, you did a great job and I hope you come back from the financial damages of making this game (unless you already have.)
I would recommend this to anyone who feels to many negative or crowding thoughts are in their head, for this game only requests a few 10 or so minutes of your day to sooth the train of bewildering thoughts!
It’s alright
I was using the app all the time but like.. I don’t really feel any point to it now considering you can’t even level up the bond and your aura past level three with the free version. I thought you’d have at least that to keep using the app.
I got it because levelling up the bond was actually giving me motivation and I was fine with all the other stuff not being accessible, but it’s just so samey now it’s started to feel like a chore. It’s super repetitive now, and it gets boring pretty fast.
With that being said, if you have the money to buy the add-ons or you’re fine with it being repetitive after a few days it’s a super cute game, and it’s really helpful. But if you’re someone like me who doesn’t have the spare money to spend on a game, even if it is for self care, then even if it’s cute and helpful at first, you’ll probably get bored of it quite quickly.
