Physmo makes great apps & this is another simple app that works well - 5 stars earned!

I got this thinking it’ll point me to palace but it found the little aerial in Kensal Town which is on my doorstep. I have been moving set set aerial for different channels and was only pointing in the general direction but with this you get an audio ping when your on the right alignment to the tv mast. It’s very simple with a list of good signal local mast top, medium signal not so local in the middle and weak / farthermost at bottom with easy to see colours (like a traffic light) select the antenna you want (should go for the closest & strongest) and then the compass comes up,you move your aerial with phone until you hear the ping - job done. I loved this devs other apps & had hours of fun (still stuck on levels near the end tho) with his platform games about a little bug named Mos which is what the games named after Mos 2 was particularly good and addictive. He’s not greedy with IAP’s and all app prices are fair. The closest app to this is 3x as much. I don’t need info other than what this offers...
5 stars easy and a better signal!

Developer Response ,

Hi, thanks for the nice review - glad you liked the app and that you managed to get a better signal on your tv! I didn't think we would have fans of Mos using our utility apps too so it's near to hear people are enjoying both of them :)

Spot on!

When I renewed my aerial, I decided to try it in the loft first as the original external one was being used as a perch by large and messy birds. I initially pointed the aerial roughly in the direction of our local transmitter (Emley Moor), just to test the reception. On the weakest Freeview channel I could find, it registered 60% strength… good enough for a decent picture. Using this app, which bleeps when the mast icon is pointing in the direction of the strongest signal (not explained in the app), the signal strength on the same channel was 99% (even in the loft, pointing through a brick wall gable end). I re-tuned the TV channels and the initial number of 241 increased by 10% to 253. By the way, all my neighbours’ aerials are pointing slightly in the wrong direction. I’m assuming the first aerial to be installed was an educated guess and all others copied, assuming it to be correct. They need to get the app!

So simple

Downloaded the app based on reviews and developer engagement. It is for using in my touring caravan so always in a different location.
Very easy to use and excellent value for money. More than anything it saves a lot of time messing with the Ariel.
The status Ariel in the van has a signal indicator built it but for 99p saves you a lot of frustration and points you in the direction of the strongest signal.
The app uses a postcode or gps location. Gives you the availability of transmitters in order of strength. Click on the required one and turn your phone until you get a continuous tone.
Great app.
