I am a lover of retro games and when I saw this happy days unfortunately i had to subscribe to test the games so i was ok with that but nothing works from the control point of view?? What am i missing I am playing on iPad Pro M4 so no issue with power but the screen controls don’t work so I connected my PS4 controller to iPad it connected and ran a game the PS4 Controller started the game but nothing else still no control it only started the game so I connected iPads to the new iPad keyboard and nothing works from that ?? How are we supposed to play this if its not supported can you please help?

I’ve had Antstream for the PC for a couple of years now, so when I heard the announcement that it had been released on the Apple Store I had to instal, it on my iPad to see what it was like. I find it works really well on a mobile device such as the iPad. The fact it also meant I could use my existing PC account was an added bonus! I have a PS4 controller and I found this also works nicely with Antstream via a Bluetooth connection, I was pleasantly surprised how seamless it seemed to be!There are touchscreen controls which are par for the course for touchscreen stuff for gaming in my experience, but if you have a Bluetooth controller I would highly recommend it for a better experience. I also encountered very little lag with the games despite streaming over my Wi-Fi connection, which isn’t that fast and was streaming something else at the same time. The menus and search function are easy to use with a touchscreen device, actually more intuitive than on PC from my experience and the selection of games is very extensive! Games like Bubble Bobble and Japanese shooter games like Dangun Feveron are just two highlights that come to mind. You also have challenges for certain games with a leaderboard as well, which gives you incentives to improve your score, compare yourself to others and keep replaying, it can get addictive! So if your after an extensive retro gaming experience with a brilliant selection of retro and indie games to take you down memory lane, you really should give Antstream a try, it’s fun!

I’ve been deeply into retro games all my life, indeed before they were retro, and it’s great to have so many playable on iOS all in one place. (Could do with some BBC/Electron ones though.)Streaming them is a bit unusual I suppose but it seems to work well so far. Normally if I wasn’t on original hardware I’d run games in an emulator, but then again, this is a phone and not a PC, and this is definitely less effort.I haven’t looked much at challenges yet but what I have seen looks worth a try.

I was looking forward to playing some old games from my childhood but the controls simply don’t work. Bubble Bobble started but I couldn’t control the character, so I died immediately. I then tried Alien Breed and not even the start button worked, so I didn’t get to play it at all. Double Dragon controls worked for 30 seconds then stopped so I got beaten up. I have recently bought a brand new iPhone16 so I knew it wasn’t the device. Great idea, terrible execution. Subscription cancelled 10 minutes after subscribing.
