Confusing interface, doesn’t work offline
Doesn’t work at all when you’re not connected to the internet. It turns out this “app” is just a thin wrapper around the website… whom did they bribe to get the “editor’s choice” award?
Even when it works, the user interface is confusing. They are going for minimalism but have gone way, way too far. I’d like to see *something* in terms of content or feedback, rather than having to guess where I might be able to click.
The Pro version doesn’t seem to offer anything that would fix these fatal flaws, so I’m certainly not going to pay for it.
Best on mobile but needs updating on Mac
For me this is the best app for using on your mobile - it gives reminders that stay on screen until you action them (from plenty of options including done, snooze and dismiss) and not just in the notifications bar like all the others. From the mobile app you can also view events in your diary and write an event into a specified calendar with a notification alert (that would then eminate from your calendar app). However the problem is that (if like me you also use a computer the desktop and web apps do not offer the same functionality - no calendar view / integration and no ability to even view the tags you might have spent ages adding on your phone. It’s a mystery as to why as several of the competitors have managed to work it out - however they fall down on how the ir apps notify you on your phone. It’s a dismay that there has been no update for the Mac app in 3 years. IF only they could get these updated they would have the best allround task management app hands down. Having said that the mobile version is really helping me sort out my life at the moment (because of it’s persistent notifications) so would recommend it on that basis alone!
Only works on iPhone
Have been using this on my iphone and found it so useful I wanted to have it on my Mac as well. Unfortunately it doesn’t work.
I logged in with the same email address and password as I use on the phone, and nothing happened. I tried several times with no success, so I clicked the link to reset the password. The app said an email had been sent but 2 hours later it still hasn’t arrived.
I hope they fix it, and I’m wondering if the bug only applies to the free version. I was planning to upgrade if it worked for me but I won’t risk it yet.
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
