Can't download dictionary files

I just installed the app and iOS asked me if I wanted to allow it to use WLAN and Mobile Data. I pressed yes, and then this app wanted to download the dictionary files. But every time I try to download it says failed because I'm not connected to the Internet (I am). So I check the WLAN settings and it says this app is not configured to use WLAN or Mobile Data. I change the settings, go back to the app and try again, and the same thing happens. Every time I change the WLAN settings to allow the app to connect to the Internet there's something that causes iOS to automatically disable its access again right after. No other app does this and I've tried reinstalling to no effect.

Disappointed

Welsh is my first language therefore I know a lot of its vocabulary, however when I need to translate bigger words for my welsh GCSE essays, they don’t have a translation. Therefore I have to turn to google translate- which is unreliable, but it’s better than this app. The whole point for this app was for reliable translation, which it doesn’t have. Very disappointed. A shame. This has happened on many occasions, not just a one off.
