Description
Apart of Me is a multi-award-winning therapeutic game. It was co-created by experts in child psychology and bereaved young people, and translates bereavement counselling techniques into a magical 3D world.
You will be transported to a beautiful, peaceful island where you will meet a variety of friendly creatures. You will be given a guide to support you along your journey. Your guide will help you to explore, accept, understand and articulate your experience of grief and the wide range of emotions connected to it.
As you progress through the game, you will discover your own strengths and wisdom. The island is a safe place where you can begin to process your grief at a pace that suits you, remember the person you have lost, and hear from others who know what it is like to lose someone you love.

We created Apart of Me because we wanted to help young people and their families through the darkness of grief towards a hopeful and fulfilling future.

This is a wonderful, highly emotionally intelligent digital sanctuary. It provides soothing, kind and intelligent support to those navigating the turbulent waters of grief. It helps young people to cope with and understand their feelings, helps them find a sense of calm, imparts pearls of wisdom about life and death and also helps people to know they are not alone. The audio recordings in the cave of other young people's experiences of grief and their messages of support are so powerful and crucial in combating that sense of isolation that grieving people often feel. The exercises to help young people find ways to cope with their feelings and to find a sense of calm are a real strength too. It is beautifully designed and imparts real psychological wisdom to help young people deal with tragic circumstances. This beautiful digital island will act as a bridge to help young people live with their grief in the "real world", by opening up therapeutic and healing conversations with important people in their lives, giving them emotional coping skills, a sense of connection with others in a similar situation and helping them find some supportive perspectives on life and death. As a child clinical psychologist, I love it!
Great
Hi people out there please download this app cause it’s great! I love all of it! The developers did a great job! Through my loss I felt like I was the only person in the world who was going through this but this app has taught me otherwise! If ur going through anything from death to parent problems to anything completely different this is the app for u! The rock pool and the design and the storyline and everything is amazingly well thought out.
Only a few things that could possibly improve (if possible) this amazing app:
Make each crystal a different type of relaxation. The breathing is great but it can get a bit boring after 4 round of doing it...
Have a few more things to do like personal challenges with the villagers. A bit like the letter sending ur will just make it again a bit more interesting!
Finally have the journals available to read as well as listening too. It’s just helpful for if I can’t get to my headphones straight away.
But great job guys it is almost perfect and thats why i gave u 5 stars!
Is helping a lot
This app truly helps you find yourself again after a tragedy that left me useless and helpless, I go onto this app, and the though out breathing exercises, and fireflies can lighten my dark days. Maybe for only a little bit, but it does help.
The best part of this experience is probably the quests we are given, but here I have an enquiry. These quests really allow me to build back a bond I thought I lost, and I love them so much, yet I don’t know how or what you need to do specifically to receive one. Is there an algorithm? Or is it random?
Keep up the good work, and I hope everyone else who is going though a hard time, I just want to say that you are worth it, and didn’t deserve whatever happened to you, and things will get better. You may not see the light at the end of the tunnel yet, but it’s there, you just need to get through that tunnel, and you have caring, and kind people surrounding you helping you to the light.
