APCOA Connect – Parking
Ratings & Reviews
Quick, simple and stress free. Repeat a previous session easily it will even automatically adjust your start time if you have any time left on your previous day’s parking. Receipts for tax or travel claims can be emailed to you from the Ap at a time of your choosing.
Most frustrating app to use, 20 min free stay limit at car park has probably overrun in the time that I’ve tried to pay for parking as I don’t carry cards. Had to get my husband (at work) to send me all his card details in text so I could “set up” account as I could not pay with Apple Pay. Only once I had gone through all that was the Apple Pay option available! Also nearly missed my trains because of this, thank god the trains are always delayed anyway I guess
In a world of badly designed parking apps this one takes the biscuit for being so utterly poor. The in-app icons don’t even fit - they overlap each other. You cannot extend parking by anything other than the length of the original booking. I messaged the company and two days later no reply. Hello? Did you not realise it is the 21st Century not the Victorian era? If I could give you zero stars I would. Do better - we pay for this abysmal experience - you could at least act like you care.
Visited Mk theatre 🎭 but found Xscape car park changed to Apcoa connect , so downloaded app all good , registered details all good 👍, on returning to car opened app and chose current session nothing showing 🤷🏻♂️, rang helpline which took forever with options only to be told office closed , eventually found if I tapped park icon showed current parking ok I thought great, but there was no Apple Pay until I had filled my credit cards details which I didn’t have with me , so after phoning my lad sorted my details out and could then pay with Apple Pay , this was unnecessary to have to give your bank details when you could just have apple pay available, I probably won’t use this car park again and will use the others that use ring-Go which is far simpler , why make it more complicated than it needs to be .
Completely tedious and unfriendly to sign up, use and make a payment through this app. I imagine it’s done deliberately so they can fine people. I work in IT and is was fiddly to use, let alone those who aren’t tech savvy. The sign up process is long and tedious, there’s no auto fill, no copy or paste so it’s very time consuming (when you’re also trying to catch your train) plus once you’ve signed up, adding a car is okay but making a payment is a joke. Rather than just using Apple Pay, you have to pass over all your card details then verity a £0 payment. Very long winded and difficult when you likely won’t have access to wifi or and strong 4G/5G network. Once you’ve added your card, it then gives you the option to use Apple Pay. What a joke! Unfortunately this is the only way to pay at my local train station car park so I’ll have to keep using this app but by god it’s horrific. Shame on anyone involved in its creation.
This app is quite frankly an embarrassment for the company. It’s at absolutely no risk of anyone claiming form over function! Unfortunately function also leaves a lot to be desired. I’ve now had to start using this app as the local train station has converted to ANPR parking - as part of that we were promised “easier” parking and auto-charges so once registered we wouldn’t even need to do anything - it’d just charge us, well that doesn’t seem to be available and so everyone you park you have to use monstrosity - it doesn’t even default to the car park you’re in - you have to tell it every time! I mean this thing has one very simple use case and it even manages to make that annoying. Improve the app - make it actually “easier” to park and deliver the promised auto parking!
