Description
The Apex is the world’s most popular aquarium monitoring and control system.
From anywhere in the world, with your internet-connected Apex system and this app, you can:
- Monitor the health of your aquarium by observing current and past history of your Temperature, pH, ORP, Salinity and much more (depending on how your Apex System is equipped of course)
- Control the equipment on your aquarium - lights, pumps, heater, etc. Turn them off and on, adjust the lighting spectrum, change pump modes and many other functions.
- Observe your aquarium via connected IP web cams.
- Enter key water testing parameters such as Alkalinity, Calcium, Phosphates, etc.
- Enter notes about observations of your aquarium, maintenance, fish health, etc.
- Remotely feed your fish, right from your handheld device!
- Monitor and control more than one aquarium - either yours or friends.
- Get immediate iOS notifications when something goes wrong in your aquarium (leaks, overheating, pH out of range, water level issues, etc.)

Any Apex System (Apex, ApexEL, Apex Classic, Apex Gold, Apex Lite, or Apex Jr.)
The Apex, and your iOS device, must both be connected to the internet

Useless
Spend best part of £2000 on products for the app to keep crashing. I spend nearly £400 on a dos unit and nearly 12 hours in total trying to connect it for it to crash my power bank and kill all my fish and corals overnight because the heater output failed. Every time I try to connect the dos pump it crashes everything and nothing works. Then the App stops working and I can’t control anything. Also Salinity probe is useless. Only thing that actually works it temp and ph. Also good for turning things off and on. When the app actually works it’s ok but if I’m honest I feel ripped off. I only have iPhone and Mac and doesn’t work on either. I now have to spend more money on a laptop and hope that actually lets me use the system.
Awful Application
I’d never buy a Neptune product again- the app is absolutely horrible. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Needs rebuilding from the ground up.
