Description

With one epic story unfolding over three types of workout, this is a new immersive narrative exercise experience to give you the speed, strength and control you need to get Apocalypse Ready.

Step into an alien invasion comedy adventure storyline in which you are the main character of a binaural audio drama with a full cast, action packed soundtrack and dramatic sound design to transport you into an apocalypse only you can bring to an end.

Start with a running episode to meet your handler Skyler, collect your survival team and receive your mission.

Continue with a bodyweight circuits episode under the tuition of ballistic Drill Sergeant Hardman who swaps sweat for intel, followed by a mindful yoga and stretch session with super-gran Beatrice, before tackling the next running session.

Throughout the workouts, help Skyler uncover who is responsible for the invasion and keep the rest of the team safe from the many dangers encountered along the way.

ONE UNFOLDING STORYLINE
Taking place in the London of an alternate reality, you can do the workouts anywhere in our world as you undertake your mission to end an apocalyptic alien invasion that will spill over to our reality - if left unchecked.

FULL 3D BINAURAL AUDIO PRODUCTION
Enjoy the action taking place around you as you step into a full audio production: cast, sound effects and music all mixed together for a seamless and fully immersive experience from warm up to cool down.

EXPERT FITNESS INSTRUCTION
All exercises are explained inside the story by coach characters, who are written by expert fitness professionals. Exercises are also supported with audio and visual guides which can be accessed before or during the workout.

TWO EXERCISE LEVELS
Strength and Control episodes display a choice of Intro and Advanced level exercise options, with corresponding audio and visual instruction.

WORKOUT AT YOUR OWN PACE
No minimum speed penalty system in the running episodes, and supportive coaching from all the trainers encouraging returning and current exercisers to challenge their fitness in a safe manner.

TWO AUDIO MODES
Workout Mode for tracking your workouts and and Listen Mode for catching up any story you missed afterwards - there’s a lot going on every episode!

RUN LOGS AND REWARDS
Unlock Essential Intel (story taking place outside your first-person experience of the apocalypse world) with the completion of each episode and track your running with pedometer distance logs.

A truly enjoyable way to get fit

I’ve been using this app for just over a month and I’ve already lost half an inch off my waist.
I’ve tried running and exercising before but got bored easily and gave up pretty quickly. I’ve had other apps like 7 minutes but nothing has made me continue to go back, after a week I’m bored and I give up. Not with AST though! I’m fully addicted.
The storyline means that I want to do more exercise as I want to know what happens next.
I’m not a massive fan of running, I used to do it because I felt I ought to, not because I want to. But with AST the story takes my mind off the fact I’m running and makes me push myself harder.
It tells you how to run properly, which has done wonders for my running. It also tells you how to do the different exercises properly in the strength episodes which has taught me loads!
I love the control episodes, they’re very relaxing.
I push myself harder when doing the app, I’m quite lazy when at the gym or out running. If it gets hard I usually just slow down or stop what I’m doing and move on rather than push through. Because I have someone in my ear telling me to do the exercises I push myself to do them for as long as physically possible.
So if you want an app that will make you want to exercise regularly, is varied and instructive then this is the one for you! It’s fun and I can’t wait for the next 10 episodes.

Makes running actually enjoyable

I was looking for a new workout routine as I had got bored with my other one and a friend suggested this. I tried the first episode and was hooked. It made running entertaining and I actually was looking forward to the next ones! The strength exercises are great (and I feel it the next day and truly hate mountain climbers) because you really feel that you’ve worked out, and you are distracted by the story. I’ve not done yoga before and found that I liked that too. Marvellous - can’t wait for Part 2!

Geek fitness for all shapes and sizes

I backed the Kickstarter for this and have been a beta tester. I’m a 50+ couch potato but have appreciated the range of activities (not just running, but core strength and Pilates too) and that there are options to suit those of us with limited speed/strength while still catering for fitter folk too. The characters and plot line are engaging. I’m looking forward to using the full version now it’s available.
