Under rated,I like to go out around 3 times a week ( obviously not possible right now), I find plenty places to visit + extra bonus’The Quays’. Cheltenham wish they had it,but it’s not far to travel and hay it’s the same for us here in Wonderful Sunny Gloucester , we can easily get there to sample their delights.
People in Gloucester are the salt of the earth, to the most part very honest, if something is not right they’ll let you know. As far as I’m concerned that’s the best way to be , you know where you stand, and when I say this it’s usually said in a low key way not nastily.
I’m very happy to live here in GLOUCESTER.
OK news, But web articles and UI/UX need improving
The UI and UX design on this app just isn't good. The articles are all very similar to each other. I cannot see what's a news article and what's a different type of article (ad, train times, cats etc) at a glance - your UI/UX team need some training on design for mobile.
The webview is very poor but is the core experience in the way I use the app. Guys the bars don't scroll away as I scroll content...
Nor can I swipe back, I have to hit close.
Take a leaf out of Perspecs, that was better UI / UX and uses AMP to get around all of the cookie consent stuff from other apps. Why not do that here?
Or just add this IYA stuff to the other Trinity / Reach app designs.
A few simple tricks are being missed here IMHO, but I wish you 🌮 people luck 😉
Update: It's good to see improvements here in navigation and some UI / UX improvements. The articles on the main feed are more separated making it easier to consume. I also appreciate the bars hiding on scroll and the swipe back from article detail.
Update update: They reduced the shadows! ☺️
I'd modernise the look of the news feed and improve web content loading times. Now 3 stars (from 2)😛👍🌮
The last few weeks, have been difficult for us all , wondering weather the virus would spread more than it did, bad as it’s been with the losses of our fellow men and women and the amazing nhs staff at all levels especially those dedicated to intensive care risking there lives in the course of a days work, the local news has been invaluable keeping us abreast of what’s happening here and now. So thank you for keeping us folk locked in with what’s happening in our neck of the woods Essex
