Useful is you own the product you want Support with.

If you want to ask questions about a product your considering buying, don’t even bother. No matter how hard you try, it will always ask you for a serial number. I was unable to ask a question about an Apple Watch which is really annoying. If you own the device, it is much easier and most staff know how to help and what they’re talking about. They don’t take long to connect and are very nice. Just a shame you have to own a device to ask a question about it.

AirPod Toubles.

I started off by asking about a faulty AirPod that had recently stopped working. It was going well “Glen” was helpful, despite her English was questionable at times which made the conversation longer. I was then told I would have money taken out of my account as a deposit after having to ask about it when I signed up for a replacement and it asked me for a payment of £65. As I’m a student I cannot afford this and when I came back to ask about the “carry in” option, I started typing which “Glen” could see, as I can see whenever she started typing. As soon as I started typing, the conversation quickly came to an end with her saying “Do you need any further help” and immediately after that “Thank you for contacting Apple support”. I was not impressed at all at how eager she was to leave the chat and leave me wondering what to do. Because of this occasion when it comes to me having enough money to replace the AirPod, I have to spend another hour explaining to another Apple support person that I have tried reconnecting the AirPods and they still don’t work and other information too. Not happy at all.

Fantastic service, superb app

I rarely write app reviews but have to for this app. Easy to use, easy to find information via the app, and - when necessary - you can chat to Apple support people *via the app*… who are always polite, courteous, friendly and completely professional. Never worried about saying ‘I don’t know the answer, but hold on while I find it for you’… and then they come back with the perfect answer, relavant, accurate and informative.

And on the two occasions when the advice was to go into an Apple Store to the Genius Bar, they booked me an appointment there and then, at a store convenient to me.

Cannot speak highly enough both of the app and the people who operate it.
