Description

Simple & Multiple Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Scatter- and Residual Plots. Parameter Estimates, Inference & Prediction.

The Art of Stat: Linear Regression app creates scatterplots, fits simple (and multiple) linear, logistic or exponential regression models, and displays inference for model parameters (standard errors, confidence intervals, P-values).

New: The app now also fits multiple linear regression models and allows including categorical predictors and two-way interactions!

The app computes and displays confidence intervals for the mean response and prediction intervals for a future response. The fitted model and the intervals are visualized on the scatterplot, and you can obtain and plot raw and standardized residuals.

You can color points on the scatterplot according to a third quantitative or categorical variable to reveal additional patterns.

For data entry, you can enter your own data via the new Data Editor app, import a CSV file, or choose from several pre-loaded example datasets.

Features:

- Scatterplot Matrix to study pairwise relationships

- Display the fitted regression equation on the scatterplot, even when including (and additional) categorical predictor

- Table with all regression coefficients and their inferences (P-values, confidence intervals)

- Summary statistics such has R^2, R^2-adjusted and maximized Log-Likelihood

- Fitted values and (standardized) residuals (which you can download)

- Predictions for your own values of the explanatory variables

- Residual plot to check assumptions and for outliers

NO WAY TO IMPORT DATA INTO THE APP FOR USAGE. TEDIOUS TO INPUT DATA MANUALLY

It’s a good App and it works very delightfully. I like the visualisations. You put a great work into that. But one thing though, “the loading of data” you have to input the data manually and it become pretty tedious and boring and impossible to do if there is a lot of the data. Now I am not sure if there is a way to import data from your device into the app without having to input it manually but if there isn’t any then I suggest you provide it to make it super awesome. Cheers.

Edit April 2023:
The new Data Editor module on the main page available in the newest version makes entering, editing and saving smaller amounts of data much easier. For larger datasets, I would still use the “Import CSV” functionality!

Hi,

For each of the individual apps (linear regression, exponential regression, logistic regression) you can upload your own CSV file. Basically, you email a .csv file to yourself and save it on your phone, or have it in iCloud. Then, you can load the CSV file into the app by selecting “Open CSV File” under the Enter Data options (the first drop-down on the Enter Data tab).

Now, you just need to select which of the column in your CSV file represents the explanatory and which the response variable. You can also select a third column to color points in the scatterplot, as well as an ID column, so that when you tap on a point, it shows the ID information.

You can look at the datasets under Enter Data -> Open Sample Datasets to see examples of CSV files.

Hope this helps! Thank you for your interest.

Fantastic App

Still kind of a hustle to import data, but nevertheless it works (up to certain amount) correctly + good interface.
Totally recommend
