The Asda credit card itself is brilliant especially when you can add the Asda pounds to your rewards. However the app is shocking. My purse got stolen along with all my cards a couple of weeks ago. I tried to report card lost/stolen via the app but it kept shutting down. I then tried to request a new one, and it shut down again. I decided then that I wouldn’t bother using my Asda card anymore anyway. I’d just continue to pay it off then sack it off completely. Anyway, a new card turned up in the post so it must have worked. I activated it via the app. Today I’ve went to use the card in a chip and pin machine, with the pin, and the card was declined. I’ve tried again, and it was declined. So I come onto the app and tried to start up a conversation with the customer services agents THREE times but everytime my phone went into lock mode waiting for them to reply it would shut the whole conversation down and I’d have to start again. I’ve since given up, and as I don’t have all day to either repeat myself to an app or all day on hold to customer services, I am once again not going to use the Asda card and just pay it off and then bin it.

App is currently broken! Crashes on opening. It worked fine after the last update, until I pressed on a notification for the 2 factor authentication on a new website payment. The app crashed, and on reopening the app it crashed again. After a phone restart and checking for updates it is still crashing on open. I cannot authorise any payments or check my balance. This needs fixing ASAP.

Absolutely horrible app, I can’t understand how can it get 4.7⭐️ , it shouldn’t even be a 1 star. Problems after problems. As I noticed that there’s some extra flat information along with my address details on the app, which I never provided at anytime during the card application or at any other point, which was only removed after so much struggle but no staff could explain how it happened in the first place. When I tried to update my email, I gets email updates to the updated email and still shows the old email on the app because of which I can’t even transfer the Asda pounds to my cashpot. I thought deleting and reinstalling the app might fix the issue, now I can’t even log back , when I m trying to log in it’s asking me for my Asda groceries login details ( I don’t know what is the connection) while I m expecting to enter my credit card log in details. After entering the groceries log in details it just circles and nothing happens. On the same screen it shows for applying for a card first login to groceries account first , when to try to log in for cardholder 🤷🏻‍♂️?

They didn’t. A few days later, the card magically started working. No contact, or explanation given. Lots of Asda points missed out on by having to use an alternative card though-maybe that’s the point?!Could do better.
