Tony Covell ,

Please add slideshow for photos

Use this with my asus ac68 router with a usb3 hard drive and it's great on the iPad. One improvement would be to have some photo slideshow functionality. As far as I can tell it will let me view thumbnails and individual photos fine and swipe through them, but haven't found a way to do a slideshow

50hertz ,

Great but need improving part 2

Can only download one file at a time not multiple files at once, they are all queued up to take turn, so slow if you have more than one file to download, option to choose more than one file with a select button and tick every file you want to download, or select and tick every file you want to delete, would be good, tedious doing it one at a time, thought as this router is so fast it could cope with this or is it the iPad that can't copy cope with multiple files at one.
also it doesn't know it's copying the same file again and again across to iPad, so duplicates are not checked for, and prompted to the user about this error to do it or not.
Going from left most icon the routers sources or drive, to left right arrow download icon, it forgets where you are and it needs you to tunnel down to the directory you had already got down to, to download your files, as your thrown back to the root.

Needs a couple of minor things fixed

I bought this so I could plug a USB hard drive in the back of my RT-N66U Asus router and access pictures remotely. This it does well. You can swipe to next picture, pinch zoom and see picture thumbnails, etc. You can also stream video and music over 3G. As expected, this is rubbish over a poor connection.

It says optimised for iPhone 5 yet it doesn't use the full screen - size of iPhone 4.

Also, if you rename the disk (from within Windows or whatever) and reconnect the drive back into the router, it will retain both the old and new names. Reinstalling the firmware fixes this - you don't need to reset the settings.

The thumbnail pictures are squashed into square shapes rather than being cropped as expected.

iPhone 5 version is more stable than iPad version which crashes sometimes.

Also, iPad pictures can't go full screen. They nearly can, but it would be nice to lose the status and footer bars.

If this gets updated then 5 stars without a doubt as everything else is what you need.
