Atlantis Odyssey 4+

Have played Tribez for years and fancied something new so decided to try this one. Initially I rather liked it but it became clear that resources were gobbled up at great speed, with the opportunity to replenish them free of charge, few and far between.
I thought the energy levels might restock to a certain level overnight but that didn’t happen either. That was a surprise, since when playing you have to wait for energy to recharge at the rate of one per minute.
I want to like it, I really do but there’s not enough opportunity to keep the game going without being mugged for cash.
Perhaps I’m missing something as I’m not an instinctive gamer ( too old). I’ll try a little longer but after that, it’s gone.

I have persisted and certainly the energy situation does improve with additional bonuses and I definitely appreciated the feedback from developers. So my next comments are largely for them, since they clearly want to engage with the people using their product - and I applaud that.
I get that these are a commercial enterprise and that ultimately the aim is for players to purchase resources but given how fast resources vanish, players will quickly conclude that purchases aren’t value for money and it would put them off. That would be a shame because it’s a visually beautiful setting and I do actually like the game, but unless players feel they are getting a fair run for their money, they won’t stay. Just a thought.🙂

Energy can be obtained by completing quests, in various treasures on locations, as a reward in the daily chest, by completing daily tasks and Amanda's orders, by ordering energy as a gift for tomorrow, by playing a mini-game "Pierre's Sea Friends". We'll add more ways of getting energy in the future :)

You get more bonuses as you progress, but there's no need to rush! Sometimes it's better to switch between activities. Hope you enjoy the game, good luck! :)

I should start off saying that I rarely find a good adventure game that keeps me entertained for more than a day or so. With that being said, I’m so surprised that I’ve not got bored of this game yet! There’s so much to do whether that’s collecting resources to build buildings and decorations, completing missions, upgrading buildings, the list is endless. Even the look of the game is stunning and so detailed. I can’t stop playing and I don’t spend real money on gems or coins etc because you really don’t need to if you just take your time and get them through other ways like completing quests etc. Honestly well done guys cause I love this game and can’t wait for more updates! :))

Please do not get this game. initially when you first load in ur sole purpose is to cut down obstacles using energy (in order to progress and discover new areas) At first, this is fun because they cost 1-5 energy per piece and you have loads to work with. the second after u complete the introduction of the game it becomes unplayable. your energy refills by 1 every 1.5 minutes but you can barely move anywhere because what was initially 1-3 obstacles in your way (until the next area) becomes 15-20. small bushes are replaced by huge rocks and trees that cost THIRTY ENERGY to remove- wiping your energy completely making you wait 45 minutes until u can destroy the next tree. The limited time events are boring and exactly the same as the campaign and impossible to complete in the timeframe due to the problem just mentioned. There are ways to earn energy in game but give u nowhere the near the amount needed to progress anymore than if u just waited an hour every time. But of course -what gives u the most energy?(and can also overfill ur bar by over 100x) you guessed it. in game purchases. good idea but ruined by this god awful energy mechanic.
