Great software

I am using this on my IPad to pair with my modular with an ES-9. It really is fantastic and it has lots of features you can expand your system with including even building your own modules. What i do have to say actually is on the forums and on the discord the makers are super responsive , polite and kind and go out of their way to help you. So i can attest you will not only get a great product for music but also a great community willing to help you grow. The sound quality is also a step up compared to Max or Pure Data. I think it sits well within the sound sphere of Supercollider and its ilk which i hold in the highest regard , but with this only node programming is required vs SC’s programmer centric workflow. So its nice to come to something at the end of the day to unwind and create music with that will be anywhere on my travels.
So i give it a 10/10 and i hope to learn more as i go along.

Hi Ziforge! Thank you for your lovely review :) It's high praise to put us among Max, Pd, and Supercollider, all of which are excellent digital modular synthesis environments. I think you'll be excited to see what the future holds as far as more Eurorack integration into Audulus - there's a whole arena of control and helper modules we're going to start including for use with Expert Sleepers and DC-coupled audio interfaces, as well as eventually MIDI out modules as well! For those who aren't afraid to mix their modular with their computer or at least their iPad, it'll be a huge boon in functionality. Thanks again for the lovely review, and thank you for being a part of our growing community!

Incredible new version

I’ve used Audulus since the very first release, and so didn’t hesitate with this new version. And it really is stunning. There are many excellent synth/audio apps that I’m tempted by, but time and again I’m left thinking that practically everything I see could just as well be implemented within Audulus - and a whole lot more.

There’s no denying that there is a learning curve; but it’s those unexpected ideas that hit you along the way that really make it worthwhile. Patches can be as complex or as simple as you need, but complexity isn’t always a requirement. And once the basic structures are understood, experimentation flows quite intuitively.

This is incredible software to have available on iOS.

Experiment with sound

Absolute fantastic application made even better with version 4. If you have a notion to experiment with the building blocks of sound synthesis this is a great way to start. Easy to start out and an amazing variety of patches available. Best way to learn is by dissecting these patches. For me, the addition of AUv3 is a master stroke and brings the ability to build effects and midi tools for use in iPad DAWs like AUM. Worth every penny… just be prepared to spend ages on this as you learn more, ideas will start to build up allowing you to create what you may have thought impossible before.

Developer Response ,

Thank you so much Positiveforever! You seem to really get what Audulus is all about. We also made sure that the modules would be neatly arranged inside to make them easier to dissect for curious minds such as yourself. Hope you're with us at the forum and Discord because I'm certain with a drive like yours, you'll come up with some great modules and patches to share! :)
