Description

Welcome to Aurora Hills!

Nestled deep within the Appalachian Mountains, Aurora Hills was known for its thriving industry and its picturesque landscape. Owing to the region's natural resources, Aurora Hills was looking to become one of the most prosperous towns in the state.

All is not how it seems, however. A series of disappearances of residents and tourists alike have plagued the region over the past few years, sparking a mass exodus from the small town. Now, in October 1981, the town is a shell of its former self. The prosperity that once blessed Aurora Hills has all but evaporated.

Working as a park ranger, you must investigate what's going on with these disappearances and answer questions that have tormented residents for years. Why has there been an increase in disappearances over the past 6 months? Why are there no traces of the people who went missing? Perhaps most importantly, who, or what, could be behind all of this? It's up to you to venture forth, deep into the national park, to uncover the mysteries of Aurora Hills...

Developed by the creators of Meridian 157, Aurora Hills: Chapter 1 is the first part in series of point and click puzzle adventure games. Wow! Amazing adventure game.

The Meridian series from this developer was outstanding, but this new game is in a different ballpark! The graphics are exceptional as is the atmosphere. The puzzles are just the right level to be doable but not easy. There is an interesting backstory and a real feeling of being there. I can’t believe that this part one is absolutely free! This game sets the standard in puzzle adventure games in my opinion and is right up there with anything that Glitch have produced. Can’t wait for the next instalment.

Worth waiting for

Have been waiting for this game to be published and it is worth the wait. Graphics are really good, feel you really are walking in the woods. Puzzles are challenging in that you have to be observant, but don’t get you frustrated. Storyline promises to be very interesting and as unsettling as their other games. Can’t wait for next chapter. Well done guys.

Wonderful puzzles, but far too short

I love the Meridian series, so I was excited when Aurora Hills finally came out yesterday; I had been checking Novasoft’s updates since last year! The games were fun, although largely easier than the Meridian ones, and I like the storyline. My main issue is that, in about four hours, I got through the entire thing. Longer gameplay would have merited five stars.

Developer Response ,

Hello! Thank you so much for your comments! Interesting to hear these puzzles were easier than meridian, it is quite hard to gauge how hard puzzles will actually be until people try them, but we will definitely have harder puzzles in the future, and a lot more of them! Thanks again for the feedback!
