Good but could do more
The app and alerts on races are very good, but it is annoying that it won’t let you read the full news articles, so you only get a half the latest story.
Frustratingly annoying
As always with Autosport, the articles are very good but this app is so backward. I am engaged in a long running (c6m) attempt to get Plus to work properly for me - quite often I just get a blank white screen. The in app support is useless - I’ve never got a response that way only via emails. The support team need prompting too and they have made very little progress (and don’t seem terribly bothered by it either). Update - still not working over 8 months after paying for it. Support has been woeful - nothing from them for the last five weeks. Yet again I have had to chase them. I have been an Autosport reader for probably 30 years but this is really souring my view of the publication.
Update on 19 Jun - absolutely nothing from anybody in terms of helping me with this app problem on my iPhone 12, despite chasing by email every 10 days or so. Audren Devalbray and Matt Sleight are the latest to email me but they have disappeared and have not answered any emails at all for weeks. No interest shown in trying to fix my problem. It is now beginning to being bordering on the pathetic.
Agree with other reviewer
Sadly it’s an awful app. The subscription issues mentioned in the earlier review are so frustrating, and not being addressed. What’s worse is there’s no acknowledgment of this, nothing is being done, and no apologies to customers who are paying a subscription and not able to view the paid-for content! It’s unfair treatment of people who want to support autosport magazine.
Subscription issues aside, it must be the only app that doesn’t allow you to properly zoom in on photos, change view to landscape, etc, etc. The Race Hub is a great idea but even that’s full of issues.
I’m a reader of autosport for 40 years, such a shame the app falls short of the magazines excellent standards.
