Description
Learn Eastern Armenian the easiest way through the AYOlingo app.
No matter your proficiency in the Armenian language, AYOlingo provides an easy and free learning experience for Armenian language learners.
The app currently has 90 modules, with 30 more to be released in the future. The app will help you learn Armenian and teach you:
- the basics of the Armenian language
- grammatical tenses
- animal names
- common phrases
- feeling expression
- numbers
- adjectives
- food
And much more.
The app also has a vocabulary section to help you look up the words in the Armenian language easier.
You can also follow your friends and see their progress in learning Armenian. Some friendly competition will, of course, help you learn more efficiently through our leaderboard.
The app teaches you Armenian through a variety of exercises:
• Fill in the blank in phrases
• Fill in the blank in the dialog
• Translate the phrases
• Translate the dialog
• Select the translation of the phrase
• Select the word in the picture
• Match the words
• Match the phrases
• Complete the phrases
• Practice pronunciation
• And much more...
There is also the option to Test Out of a module. If you feel like you're understanding a particular practice well enough, you can skip the lessons and AYOlingo will create a test for you. If you pass, then you're finished with the module! For those who want to challenge themselves, there is a Master Review. This takes the lessons in all of the modules and combines them with everything you've learned. Think of it like an Armenian language final exam.
The app currently doesn't teach the Armenian alphabet, but that feature will be added in the future.

Definitely recommended (but few bugs)!
As an Armenian living in a different country, I definitely recommend this to others who are trying to speak it! It has a feature where you can search a word and be able to find the Armenian version of that word as well as a little sheet for the Armenian alphabet, It also has a transliteration for Russian and English! (you can turn it off if you feel like you know everything). Now, to talk about the bugs, there are a few annoying ones that I wish for the devs to fix: sometimes when I add a right answer, it brings up with the same answer trying to correct me and I can’t skip past that question, also sometimes the audio is not playing sometimes when I click on the audio button as well. The app definitely has potential but if it wants to rival Duolingo (for Armenian), add some option where we can relisten to what the question is by just tapping on it again as well as maybe a reward system where you can battle against other users! Vopshem lavor uneceq!

Great app, but one small request....
Great app - I was struggling to find places to learn Armenian! Enjoying it so far, thanks...
The only thing is - could you please add the option to turn off the Roman alphabet transliterations under the Armenian text? Once you know the Armenian alphabet it would be nice to be able to practise reading without the eye wandering down to the transliteration every time.

Good content and free but some room for improvement
Audio isn’t not working for me on IOS 16 nor on my MacBook (M1 chip). There is only sound when you go to the next question but not for pronunciation.
Edit: Thanks for fixing this! Now that I am able to use it I have some suggestions that I think could be improved:
As I don’t know any Armenian it would be useful if you first introduced the new words and their translations. Otherwise when I see three new words to match to English words I have to take a wild guess at which ones look like the correct Armenian translations. What’s more when you get the answer incorrect the pop up only contains the correct answers in the Armenian alphabet not the transliteration so I cannot get immediate feedback on which one I selected wrongly. You also cannot close the pop up and compare to what you answered.
