Stop requesting location
Great but 3 stars until it stops constantly prompting me to “allow location tracking”. I’ve got it set to ‘while using’ that’s all it should need. I turn off all location tracking app requests so that I have battery available when I need it in the mountains. Some of our phones are tired and need all the help they can get. Please fix this! Thank you, otherwise great.
Developer Response ,
Thank you for your feedback. When the app is active the app is always scanning the database to ensure that the most up to date avalanche forecast is visible. This is to ensure that inaccurate hazard information is not used. Additionally the app should recognise the area you are located and provide the correct avalanche report for you.
Good but there is a bug
Good app, full off really good information but there is a bug with regards to location settings.
The app will not work unless location services is set to “Always”. If set to “When using app”, the app see this as being off. Main issue here for me is additional battery drain when I’m not using the app. Battery level is critical in the mountains.
Fix this and it will be 5 stars from me.
Thank you for a great app

Thank you for your feedback. When the app is active the app is always scanning the database to ensure that the most up to date avalanche forecast is visible. This is to ensure that inaccurate hazard information is not used for your decision making and in the various features. Additionally the app should recognise the area you are located and provide the correct avalanche area report for you. It is a difficult dilemma to solve if our main objective is to provide accurate safety information. Hope you can see our point. You can also manage data roaming in your phone settings. Hope this helps
Good app - but please stop pestering user for location
The location based functionality has its place, but the obnoxious alerts asking for location permission every time you change page is really unnecessary and annoying. Users of this app are already well aware of their location and can look at the current conditions when they need to.
