I use this daily, I’m a childminder and I find this very useful. I use most of the areas on the system and have found it very easy and cuts out loads of time, especially since I’ve got Alexa as well. Some parts don’t use, because they’re not for me and my setting, but just because I don’t use them doesn’t mean I’m going to complain about it, I simply get over it. The little notifications for 2nd parent parental access on the control panel are a bit annoying when there’s only a parent, but I’ve asked the question on Facebook and got good answers on how to get rid. Same with other issues. Sometimes there’s not a practical solution that benefits everybody so just be aware of that when using this system. They really do their best to please everybody, but sometimes there’s no pleasing anybody.

Thought that this would be the answer to saving me a bit of time with registers and using Alexa, absolutely does not work and when challenged the customer service is absolutely shocking! Rude, arrogant and condescending! After doing a bit of light digging I’ve seen some really shocking incidents with this company from other peoples experience and am now slightly terrified by the data handling! Please please have a look around on google, there’s actual hidden websites trying to warn people about negative reviews etc are deleted, fake accounts being made to big up the reviews and attack anyone who has the slightest negative thing to say! Will be reporting my concerns of data protection! Very lucky that I hadn’t used proper data as I was just playing around and trying to figure it out, very un-user friendly, had a friend act as a ‘parent’ for me and she couldn’t figure it out, never been so shocked at a company’s attitude towards its consumers and worst that this is actual children's data we’re talking about here, of all the things to have shoddy customer services about this is a big no no!! Zero trust now in online systems, back to conventional pen and paper for me!

I’ve used BDs since I started childminding in early 2019 and have found it so helpful. It covers all the necessary areas and more needed for a childminding setting. I feel like I don’t use a lot but actually invoicing, contracts, permissions, policies (which you can edit/replace as you wish), progress trackers and reports, accounts, fire drills, register, nappy changes, bottle feeds... it’s quite a lot! As a new childminder it helped to act as a prompt/reassurance that I had all the right things in place. Since I joined they have worked hard to have everything available on the app as well as the website which has made things much slicker. I tend to use it in conjunction with WhatsApp as that’s what suits my parents. They have a great BDs FB support group if you’re ever unsure of anything. All in all I love it and always recommend to others. It’s paperless and looks professional, who could ask for more?
