Backgammon - Lord of the Board 17+

I really liked the site but this site has too many bots playing against you and they will win regardless. Also a couple of weeks ago my account with them got hacked and someone took over 2000.- pounds from me ( which Facebook refunded me after i reported it to PayPal ) I DID NOT EVEN RECEIVE AN APOLOGY FROM LORD OF THE BOARD CUSTOMER SERVICES " although this was clearly a DATA BREACH ! At that stage i had 70 million coins, one would think thats a lot but the challenges and everything else requires you to play quite high and within 3 days they cleared me out! Just in case you (Customer services) answer me, please spare me the random dice lecture, you give to everyone who complains. Its not the dice that makes the game but the program! It really is a shame because the principle of this site is great and the idea is fun but you can't expect people to pay hundreds of dollars for virtual money

After playing this game for a while, I struggled to work out why my intuition on doubling seemed so off. I already knew that you lose 15% of winnings, but even then I seemed not to be gaining nearly as many coins as I should, resulting in me rarely managing to build up much money and play at the more skill based tables.
Here’s the problem: when you accept or propose a double in a game, the game artificially “removes” this stake from your total coins. What’s the problem with that? It means that instead of gaining 85% of the doubled stake - say (on the $400) table $680 - you earn 85% of the doubled stake AND only 85% of the money you “staked” in the first place. That means you only get 70% of your winnings! I believe this is compounded when you have quadrupled with the cube - you only get 40% of what you’re supposed to earn!
More investigation is needed over gammons and backgammons (which often matter little since they can frequently be avoided by resigning).
It took me a while to actually work this out, so I imagine a lot of people are playing and wondering why they can’t seem to get much money together - it can’t be argued that this is just the house rules and they’re obvious from the beginning, this is not obvious and SERIOUSLY intereferes with doubling strategy to the extent it’s hardly like playing backgammon at all.
For this reason this app is not suitable for playing realistic backgammon even with friends.

Edited review - latest updates have made the game unplayable on iPad. Screen freezes, corrupted display, very hesitant to update. If it doesn’t improve soon, I’m off to another app...

First the positive- excellent gameplay, and it is very easy to just play at the lower stakes and keep it completely free. However, the constant barrage of ads at the start of each session gets rather tedious. I’d rather have a paid version and just be able to get on with the game.
Of course it’s not rigged - it would be commercial suicide for the developers to be caught cheating. Any game as popular as this is bound to generate some unusual sessions. If it works against me, it’s the app that is rigged. If it runs in my favour, I’m a brilliant player. Unfortunately, most people don’t understand basic statistics, and can’t understand that they might be the outlier.
