Backgammon is believed to have started in Persia, eventually finding its way to Britain with the Roman conquest in the 1st century and was played by Emperor Claudius who even had his carriage equipped with a playing board! It became such a gambling mania that it was declared illegal under the Republic.
Playing on the history of the game, there are 6 visually pleasing, rich board designs; Egyptian, Roman, Medieval, Victorian, Modern and Classic.
We also offer, out of the box, two classic game variations: “Old English” and Nackgammon. “Old English” is the most popular game variation in England. Nackgammon is a more challenging variation designed to add more creativity and skill to the game.

Great fun
I have been playing online backgammon for years. I love this app because there’re so many choices. I can play the computer, play people I know and even find random games online for a bit more fun. I also like that you can choose whether your partner talks while playing. Sometimes it adds a new dimension to the game and makes you feel you are playing someone face to face. This is the best backgammon app there is.
Dice don't seem to be random!
I agree with previous posts that dice roll does not seem to be random. I have taken a lot of instances before concluding this. The opponent seems to get the exact number more than half of time to take single pieces out. In addition there seems to be an avalanche of doubles at times in certain games which again seem to indicate that dice has a life of its own!
Otherwise great functionality.
Bad dice generator
This game is fine if you’re a beginner or only want to play occassionaly. But if you play a lot or know what you’re doing this game gets very frustrating, very quickly. I’ve play quite a few backgammon apps and this is very typical in having a terrible dice rolls both playing against the computer or another player. When playing against the computer it doesn’t bother with standard tactics it’s simply gives good or bad rolls. When playing against another person it seems to give you a game or two with good rolls the gives your opponent a game or two the good rolls.
