Impossible

It said it couldn't find my iPhoto library or that it was old. What a waste of money. Why is this allowed on the app store?

One Step Closer but still doesn’t work!!!

Following my inital review and an email to the support desk I received confirmation the issue I was having would be fixed and indeed it was in this release. This then lead to the next issue of it skipping all my photo’s with File not Found and then completing. Essentially doing nothing.

This is very Alpha I would be surprised if it has had any testing and feels like a developer in a bedroom creating applications which do not work but they expect good money for them. More fool me for paying.

I have tried to communication by with the developer serveral times to sort out the latest issue but am no longer getting a response.

iPhoto to flickr

I purchased this app 2 weeks ago in order to make use of Flickr’s 1TB of free online storage.

I have 22,000 photos (130Gb) from the last 10-15 years that I cannot afford to loose. These include kids growing up etc.

To manually upload these would be a nightmare.

I am thrilled by this app - it really does what it says. I don’t get the -ve reviews at all !

Advice - I purchased the 2 in-app options to get enhanced options for Advanced Features and Version Management at £1.50 each. These do make the difference.

The app (with these options) allows you to backup your iPhoto modified versions inc Geo- and Face-tagging / ID / descriptions / rotations / edits etc - exactly as you wanted / had them in iPhoto. It also allows the upload of RAW photos / conversion of Video files up to 1Gb / 3 minutes (Flickr’s max policy not the apps)

Very usefully it also allows the checking and removal of duplicate photos.

The only downside is the length of time to upload the photos - 2 WEEKS and counting! This is NOT a fault of the app - it’s to do with Flickr’s upload speeds and how it accepts photos.

However, the upload is seemless and just goes on in the backgorund day and night. If the internet is dropped for whatever reason, it picks up where it left off.

For the price, I don’t think it can be beaten - just buy the in app options (and consider the overall cost to be a Fiver!)
