I decided to give this app a go as I didn’t seem to be getting any where with the other app I was using and to be completely honest I wish I hadn’t bothered! First there doesn’t seem to be any control over fake accounts, I’ve reported several accounts that are claiming to be women but have pictures of men on them? I’ve reported the same account 3 times now and it still comes up every couple of weeks so no one seems to be dealing with it. Second there is so many accounts with one picture and the same caption “I’m not on this much so follow my instagram” I haven’t downloaded this app to follow people on bloody instagram! I get this one isn’t the developers fault but when it’s every other account with the same caption surely someone should notice that the app is being used to promote their instagram accounts and not being used for its actual purpose! The last thing is matching with ignorant people! I’ve matched with several women now and I’ve sent them a message, not the quick message I’ve actually wrote a message out just for them to either not message back or for them to write 1 word answers! Like what’s the point! might as well talk to a brick wall, what makes it worse is it’s always the accounts with captions saying “sick of being messed around” or “does anyone actually find love on this app” ladies maybe if you actually made the effort you may find someone! Again not the developers fault but when it’s every person you’ve matched with it doesn’t exactly make your app look good!

TRUSTPILOT has 12k reviews and over 70% are negative! Sitejabber has this listed as 1.2/5 * rating and I’ll explain why. Badoo will happily allow fake female scammer profiles because they attract revenue for the company any one reporting these fake accounts will see there own profile blocked for breaching community standards even though badoo will never show or tell you exactly what you are supposed to have said or done ! I’ve reviewed them on TRUSTPILOT and sitejabber and badoo tried desperately many times to have my review removed but failed lol badoo even go to extreme lengths of fraud by paying for FAKE articles on google !! I came across 2 who gave badoo raves reviews yet when I investigated theses alleged journalists they never exist , emails go unanswered and the phone numbers are fake !! Badoo will cease communication telling you they feel it’s resolved ! Yes it’s free because 90% of the profiles are fake ! Ask yourselves why badoo allows fake profiles to stay on the site despite several reports they are fake ? I’ve asked to speak to moderators or even have a moderator job because i could do a better job but to no avail ! Also watch out for BUMBLE their sister site and exactly the same !!!Additional notes after badoo replied: Fact 1, I have contacted you several times via several different platforms but you ignore contact and the fake profiles are still listed proving to all YOU are just scamming people ! Prove me wrong , send me a reference number and an email contact and I’ll send you screenshots off all the fake profiles I find !!

We work hard to keep a database of genuine, high-quality members, and our moderation team works 24/7 to spot any malicious profiles. We also have a Photo Verification system to prevent fake members from using the app. However, if you're suspicious about a profile, please report them, and we'll check them immediately.

Well, it is the most expensive of a lot, and search tool is a joke. Can not set distance for match search, as someone in Badoo truly do not understand the concept of time. Getting hits 5-6 hours drive away is simply out of mind. Within that time I could easily reach Austria by car. What is the point of the app when 90% or more search hits are wrong and unusable. Also it seems they tend to steal your coins even I was within usage time allowance. Simply one morning 800 of my unused coins just disappeared without warning. Usually got all sort of useless pop up messages or emails, but no words that they are going to steal my money (coins are not free as must be paid for). Truly nothing good to say about Badoo, their owners and developers.NewestAugust 2024: Once you paid for the Premium you still have no right to message anybody unless you buy credits. This is the most expensive stuff - one message comes to about £5. Yes on Premium suddenly all filters are there but if you put at least one criterion like i did ‘Looking for Women’ after you hit apply filter - I got system reply "You are quite picky, try changing your filters". What a Hell, Badoo wants me probably to change my gender! Also when filters worked sometimes ago you can see 15-20 same profiles listed with the identical or slightly different pics of the same person. It seems that owners made app as the money making machine and nobody from their side ever checks or tidy up fake or duplicated accounts. App and services offered are the most expensive of all, app is not functional and their membership is full of fake and duplicated profiles. Avoid by all means.

This was a good app but updates and “improvements” have destroyed it. It seems focused on forcing premium services in order to make the app useable - forgetting that the non premium users add value to the app by their use. The scrapping of the desktop app was a bad move. It was always open on my computer. My phone is often off or out of coverage. We don’t all live under a 4g mast... maybe the hipster developers need reminding of this.Features seem to have disappeared - like "encounters". I think I'm about to delete my profile and the app. I know I’m on the coast but “local” users shown on my app are rediculously far away. “Bumped into” seems to have pretty much stopped working too. Maybe the push for premium use has alienated many round here as this area is below average income being reliant on seasonal work, maybe that’s why hardly anyone round here shows up on it. As someone who has had a profile on this for a few years.. And occasionally had a premium membership I have to say that in my opinion it’s gone backwards with no sign of an improvement. Also likes disappear. I matched with someone today.. Went back to the app to day hi a few mins later to find I have NO likes. This happens too often to be a glitch. I think it's just a scam to push you to sign up to premium avoid this crud there's better apps out. Shame I cant score it lower than 1 star
